Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) could play a huge role in figuring out the truth about Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby. Lucas naturally sided with his daughter after she accused Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) of rape, but he might actually be the key to clearing Tripp’s name.
Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) confirmed that Tripp and Henry share DNA, so she’s taking that as proof that Tripp is the father. Of course, Kayla should know from experience it doesn’t always work out that way in Salem!
Back in 2018, Kayla ran a different paternity test that also led her to the wrong conclusion.
Remember the DOOL storyline where Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) showed up with a baby she claimed belonged to Lucas? Based on the standard DNA markers the hospital used, Kayla had no doubt that baby belonged to Lucas and Bonnie.
Later, it was revealed that the baby actually belonged to Bonnie’s daughter, Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath), and Lucas’ half-brother, Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Now we’re likely dealing with a similar situation since Days keeps pushing this shared DNA idea.
As we saw in Lucas’ story, Tripp doesn’t necessarily need to have a twin. It could be a half-brother since that’s what Rex is to Lucas. After all, Allie’s memories from that night are pretty hazy.
She’s absolutely right about someone raping her, but it’s easy to see how her mind might’ve mixed up who did it if someone came along after Tripp – even if they didn’t look alike.
A fraternal twin situation is still possible, but it could also be another long-lost son of Steve’s. Regardless, maybe there’ll be some clue eventually that makes Lucas remember his own mistaken paternity test.
Lucas is firmly against Tripp as well as Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), who continues to support Tripp despite the DNA evidence.
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve will talk to Allie about the night of her attack soon. If Allie recalls something that potentially puts another man at the scene of the crime, it could get the wheels turning for all parties involved.
At some point, perhaps Lucas will determine that although accurate DNA tests don’t lie, they don’t always tell the whole truth! We might even see some flashbacks and a conversation with Bonnie since she’s on canvas now.
Lucas might start to believe there could be another explanation for Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) sharing DNA with Tripp due to his own paternity test confusion.
Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) seems like the best candidate to be Tripp’s brother, so he could be in hot water down the road.
