Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, May 18, tease that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will have a strategy session with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Orpheus (George DelHoyo) just revealed that he’s holding Marlena’s beloved husband prisoner, so Marlena will have to come up with a hefty ransom in exchange for John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) freedom.
Since Orpheus is one of the least trustworthy people in town, it’s wise to be wary of any promises he might make. Marlena has no way of knowing if John will truly be returned to her. She could give Orpheus all the money in the world and still end up with a dead body on her hands. There’s a lot at stake here, so Marlena will need to strategize with Rafe and figure out what’s next.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Rafe will soon find himself in the same boat of worrying about a loved one’s safety. That’s because Orpheus will kidnap David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends), which lines up with his plan to score money for his grandson’s wonderful life.
It’s doubtful Orpheus could ever give David anything close to that, but he believes he’s the best person to raise the boy in Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox’s (Brock Kelly) absence. Days spoilers say Marlena and Rafe will focus on getting John and David back ASAP, but that’ll prove difficult with a baddie as slippery as Orpheus.
Meanwhile, Victor Kirakis (John Aniston) will react to the letter he just opened. He was taken aback as he read that Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) was writing to say goodbye. Days spoilers say Victor will warn Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) that Maggie’s about to commit suicide. Once Xander wraps his head around that news, he’ll speed over to Statesville as fast as he can.
Before Xander shows up, Maggie will fashion a noose out of her sheets. She’ll be hanging and unresponsive when a freaked-out Xander arrives. DOOL spoilers say Xander will pull the sheets down along with Maggie and start trying to get her breathing again. There’ll be some scary moments, but Xander will thankfully succeed in reviving Maggie after her suicide attempt.
Over with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), she’ll meet up with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and learn Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) disappeared with Rachel Black alone.
Brady’s updates will naturally leave Sarah concerned, but Brady may remind Sarah that Kristen desperately wanted to be a mother. There’s nothing on earth that could ever make Kristen hurt her own child.
If anything, Kristen’s sometimes violent actions should give Sarah reassurance that Kristen will protect Rachel no matter what. Sarah’s been upset about giving her baby to a woman who’s capable of murder, but that also means Kristen would kill anyone who dared to pose a threat to Rachel. There’s nowhere Rachel is safer than in Kristen’s arms.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sarah and Brady will ultimately shift gears. They’ll do some commiserating as they discuss Victor, Xander and the baby swap plot that led to so much pain. DOOL fans can expect Brady and Sarah to team up for revenge soon, so stay tuned to see what they have in store.
