Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, November 30 Recap - Gabi Moving To Arizona - Shawn Turns Down Top Cop Job

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, November 30, reveal that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) talked at the penthouse. Claire was worried about John Black (Drake Hogestyn), and Marlena explained that Belle Black (Martha Madison) was trying to get John out of custody and home that evening.

Claire lamented that the whole situation with Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) was her fault, and Marlena disagreed, saying that it was Jan’s fault.

Marlena took off for the police station, and Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) arrived to see Claire and see how she was doing.

Claire said that she was worried about her grandpa, and she wondered if she and Charlie were going to talk about their kiss from yesterday. Claire said that she was glad that Charlie kissed her, and she shared her feelings of being scared of getting into a relationship and becoming an obsessive person again.

Charlie said he understood, and that he was scared of starting a new relationship, too. Claire wondered if her history scared Charlie off, but he said that he enjoyed being with her, and together they decided to make a go of their relationship.

Claire asked if they could try that kiss one more time, and Charlie said that they could arrange that. Claire and Charlie kissed happily.

At the Salem PD, Belle conferred with John in the interrogation room. It was quickly established that Jan was not dead, and Belle insisted that John wasn’t in his right mind when he strangled Jan.

Belle blamed Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) for getting Jan released from Shady Pines, and soon Marlena walked in and learned from Belle that since the courts were closed, John would have to spend the night in jail.

Belle took off, and Marlena told John that he was still recovering from his aneurysm and that she hoped that Belle could make the DA understand this. John lamented that he could be locked up for the rest of his life.

Marlena said that John needed to stop blaming himself, and she noted that Claire blamed herself, too. John wanted Marlena to go sit with Claire, but Marlena said that Claire had Charlie to talk with.

In the commissioner’s office, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) was looking through Jan’s file when Abe Carver (James Reynolds) came in. After some small talk, Abe offered Shawn the commissioner position, but Shawn turned it down, saying that he and Belle would have to go back to Hong Kong sometime soon.

Shortly, Belle arrived in the office wondering if Abe could pull some strings and get John released from jail.

Unfortunately, Abe couldn’t do anything about it, considering that courts were closed. Abe took off, and Belle and Shawn lamented about John spending the night in jail, and about not getting married like they were supposed to.

Over in the park, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) continued his talk with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). Rafe learned all about how Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) left a letter explaining that she needed to go off looking for Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal).

Rafe beat himself up, saying that he should have been in town for Hope as she lost another child. Rafe told Roman that he needed to find Hope and let her know that he loves her and is there for her.

In Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) workshop, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) reeled as she saw Jake in bed with Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow). Gabi had some choice words for the pair, and Jake promptly pointed out that Gabi was the one who left him in the dust.

Gabi just assumed that Jake was desperate and turned to Kate, but Jake stopped Gabi and wouldn’t let her badmouth Kate.

Gabi revealed that the whole going-to-Mexico-for-my-sick-mother story was a lie, and she revealed the real reason why she had to leave Salem and why she had to tell Jake that they were through before she left.

“I came back here the minute my family was safe, but I never imagined you in bed with great-grandma Kate,” Gabi said. Kate then stepped forward and said that there were no feelings between herself and Jake, and Jake stopped Kate, telling her to speak for herself.

Jake then revealed that he had feelings for Kate, and Gabi looked horrified. Kate said that she had no idea, and Gabi announced that she was going to go to Arizona with her daughter.

Before Kate left, she told Gabi that she didn’t want Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to know about her affair with Jake. Gabi agreed not to say anything, and she took off agitated. Jake turned to Kate and said that he really cared about her. Kate looked touched.

Later Gabi met up with Rafe in the park, asking how his meeting with Hope went. Rafe said that it was a long story and that he didn’t want to talk about it.

Rafe asked Gabi about Jake, and Gabi said that they have no future together, and that she was leaving Salem to go be with Arianna Horton (Sydney Brower) in Arizona. Rafe was surprised that Gabi was leaving, but Gabi reassured Rafe that Salem has not seen the last of her.
