Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that more details are coming out about Jackée Harry’s upcoming run on the NBC soap. As CDL previously reported, Harry will play a character named Paulina who’s connected to the Carvers.
Now new information is spilling about exactly what brings Paulina to Salem and what she’ll be up to once she arrives.
In an interview with SOD, DOOL Head Writer Ron Carlivati talked about Harry’s character and why the time will soon be right for her to appear. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will face quite a crisis soon.
Once Eli and Lani’s twin babies go missing, they’ll quickly realize their newborns have been kidnapped.
Carlivati thought this would be the perfect opportunity to bring on someone with a family connection to Eli and Lani. “Paulina does have a connection somewhere in the Eli/Lani family, I won’t be specific,” Carlivati said.
Since Carlivati won’t confirm Paulina’s exact connection, she could be tied to the Carvers by blood or through this “Elani” marriage.
The most likely options here would probably be making Paulina a previously unknown sister of Abe Carver (James Reynolds) or Valerie Grant (Vanessa A. Williams).
Since Valerie has become part of the story again, it might be good to give her a sibling on canvas – particularly one with no blood ties to Abe since he could use a love interest! Paulina would be a great choice if that’s the case.
However, first thing’s first! Days spoilers say this kidnapping crisis will have to be dealt with, so let’s look at what Carlivati said about that.
Carlivati teased, “She comes to town in connection to what happens to those babies but we learn a little about her background and her connection to everybody, and she immediately sort of has thoughts and plans about doing business in Salem.”
Carlivati talked about how independent Paulina is and how she’s learned to make it on her own. She’s the kind of woman who always speaks her mind and gets things done, so perhaps she’ll blow into town on a mission to track those babies down!
Paulina may even become the hero of the story if she uncovers the truth and can reunite the twins with Lani and Eli.
Of course, it’s possible Paulina herself will be responsible, but it’d be tough for her to make a place for herself in Salem if she were busy getting arrested for kidnapping. It seems more likely that Paulina will surface after hearing the kidnapping news and insist on helping.
Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano) seems like the more logical culprit since she also has an upcoming stint and has made Lani her target before. Will Paulina help solve the mystery? It could be a tough case to crack since Vivian is believed to be dead!
