Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, May 21, teases that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will reel over Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) shocker. He just dropped the Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) suicide bomb, so Sarah will naturally be concerned about her mother.
Xander mentioned that he saved Maggie, but he’ll elaborate on that and try to score some points with Sarah on Thursday. Sarah will also find out the news of Maggie’s innocence, so it’ll be a lot for her to process.
That part could remind Sarah that Xander can’t be trusted and only causes pain. If Xander and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) hadn’t tried to cover for Maggie that night, she wouldn’t have landed in prison. The cops would’ve realized Maggie was chloroformed and had no alcohol in her system.
It’s not Xander and Victor’s fault that Maggie tried to kill herself, but their actions contributed to the whole situation. In other words, Xander’s life-saving efforts only undid some of his own damage. He won’t score another chance or be forgiven anytime soon, but Sarah will admit she’s grateful.
Next, Sarah will head back to Statesville, where she’ll meet up with Brady. They’ll both be in shock over what Maggie tried to do. Sarah and Brady may feel like they should’ve seen the warning signs and stepped up to prevent this somehow.
However, Brady and Sarah can take comfort in knowing Maggie pulled through. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Maggie’s going to make a full recovery, so that’s what matters now. Once Sarah joins Maggie, she’ll break down in tears and wrap her mom in a warm embrace.
There’ll be an overwhelming sense of relief – both due to Maggie’s survival and the fact that she didn’t kill Sarah’s baby or Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans). Brady will also offer some supportive words once he joins this mother-daughter duo. Maggie means a great deal to Brady, so he’ll be glad Xander saved her.
Of course, that won’t change how Brady feels about Xander. He’ll stick to his guns when it comes to Victor throwing Xander out of Titan Industries. Brady will insist on getting his old job back, so Victor will push Xander right out the door!
It’ll be a crushing blow for Xander, but part of him will feel like he deserves all his suffering. As the hits keep coming, Xander will keep sinking lower and lower.
Other Days spoilers say Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) will get a surprise visitor. When Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) arrives, Evan will wonder what he’s doing there.
Sonny will insist that he wanted to see the person who killed his mother, but Evan will undoubtedly protest. He may start by acting like he has no idea what Sonny’s talking about, but Sonny will want the truth.
Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse) already ratted Evan and Orpheus (George DelHoyo) out, but she was adamant that it was all Orpheus’ fault. To be fair, Orpheus did drag Evan into his mess and Evan wasn’t the one behind the wheel that night.
Even so, Evan had so many opportunities to do the right thing. It was cruel to let Will Horton (Chandler Massey) think he was responsible and make a play for Will’s husband in his absence. Sonny will hold nothing back as he rages at Evan. He’ll make it crystal clear that he hates Evan’s guts, so any apologies Evan offers aren’t going to cut it.
Thursday is Brock Kelly’s exit airdate, so Evan’s last scenes on the show will involve this showdown with Sonny. Once Sonny makes his angry spiel, he’ll walk away and never look back.
Over with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), he’ll share some tender moments with Maggie by her bedside. In the prison infirmary, Justin will insist he knows Maggie didn’t kill Adrienne.
At the hospital, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will push Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) for an explanation. DOOL spoilers say Gabi will be asked about the drug in the syringe, which was identical to the one found in Abigail DiMera’s (Kate Mansi) system.
Unfortunately, Gabi won’t have a clue how it happened or why. She won’t understand what’s going on here, but that won’t matter to Lani Price (Sal Stowers).
After Lani arrests Gabi and drags her down to the police station, Gabi will be seated with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gabi will suddenly assume this was Dr. Rolf’s trap. She’ll rant about the setup and wonder if Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is alive or if Rolf was just messing with her.
Dr. Rolf may hint that Gabi’s husband is still alive and kicking, but it’s always tough to tell what’s going on in that DiMera doctor brain of his. No matter what Dr. Rolf claims this time around, Gabi won’t give up on proving Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is actually Stefan!
