Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Victoria Konefal’s final airdate as Ciara Weston has been revealed – at least her final airdate for now. DOOL’s going to leave things dangling a bit with this storyline, so it’s certainly possible there’ll be some return appearances later. However, Soap Opera Digest has Konefal listed in the goings section and confirms Ciara will disappear on Wednesday, August 26.
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will struggle to fight off Vincent’s (Michael Teh) conditioning during the week of August 24-28. Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) wants to make this ordeal as traumatic as possible, so Ciara’s last encounter with Ben will be in Paige Larson’s (True O’Brien) old dorm room.
That room is abandoned now – probably because no one was keen on living where a girl was strangled in the shower! However, Ben will plan to murder Ciara in that shower as well. The problem is Ben won’t know if he actually did. After one last horrifying encounter, Ben won’t remember if he strangled Ciara or not.
Thankfully, there won’t be a body to serve as fatal proof. Even this “goings” info notes that Ciara vanishes, not dies. That lines up with Days Executive Producer Ken Corday’s comment in a recent issue of TV Guide. “No one ever really dies on Days of Our Lives,” Corday teased.
Even so, Ben will fear that he might’ve murdered Ciara and disposed of the body. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will confront Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) as he works to get answers. Eve could easily lie that Ben did the deed – or just suggest that Ben will always have to wonder.
Regardless, Ben will know there are only three options: Ciara is dead, Ciara’s being held hostage or Ciara is now so terrified of him that she went on the run. None of those are very appealing exits, but it’s safe to rule out the deadly one based on all the clues.
To offer a little closure before Ciara leaves, perhaps we’ll see a glimpse of Ciara and wherever she is following the murder attempt. It’s easy to imagine Ciara getting so rattled that she goes on the run. From there, anything could happen to her. Ciara might not stay away by choice.
It all depends on how long Ciara stays off canvas and whether DOOL can potentially get Konefal back for some appearances. Robert Scott Wilson has expressed hope that Ciara will pop in sometimes, so we’ll see if his wish comes true!
Until then, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ciara will vanish on August 26 and leave Ben distraught.
