Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, November 25 Recap - Hortons Celebrate Thanksgiving - Gwen Manipulates Chad & Abigail

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 25, reveal that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) walked into Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) workshop to see Jake and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) sleeping on a cot there. Gwen was disgusted, but she told herself that she could use this to her advantage.

Later, Jake and Kate woke up, and Kate lamented about how dirty and scruffy the workshop was. Jake said that they could be together up in the mansion, but Kate refused, saying that she didn’t want Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) to know about their affair.

Kate and Jake made love, then Kate took off to go to Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) place for Thanksgiving Dinner.

In the DiMera living room, Gwen wished Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) a Happy Thanksgiving, and Abigail took off to go see Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) to ask for her forgiveness.

Up in his room Chad had a nightmare about Jake and Abigail having an affair, then Gwen came to the door as he was getting dressed. Chad ended up telling Gwen about his nightmare, and Gwen reassured Chad that Abigail loved him.

At the Salem Inn, Jennifer told JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) that she wasn’t feeling in the holiday spirit this year and off-screen JJ learned about Jennifer and Kate slapping each other in the park.

Abigail arrived and apologized to her mother for how she handled the whole situation at the anniversary party. Jennifer accepted Abigail’s apology and said that she was not to blame.

At the Horton house, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) arrived at the front door with a flower arrangement, but Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) promptly shut the door in his face.

Jack managed to wrangle his way into the house, and he explained to an irate Julie about how his affair with Kate came to be and how sorry he was. Julie was somewhat moved and accepted Jack’s flowers.

Jack was thanking Julie for her support and kindness when Jennifer appeared at the door. Julie gave Jack and Jennifer some privacy, and Jennifer said that was sorry that Jack would be alone for the holiday, but that she couldn’t be in the same room as him right now.

Jennifer also told Jack that he shouldn’t be mad at Abigail, since the affair was all his fault.

Back at the DiMera mansion, Abigail returned to find Gwen there, promptly asking her if she’d like to come to Thanksgiving dinner at the Horton house. Gwen was touched, then she asked if Abigail would consider inviting Jake to dinner as well.

Abigail balked, saying that it would be awkward, but Gwen pressed the issue until Abigail considered it.

Back at Jake’s workshop, Chad arrived looking for Abigail, and Kate hid while Chad talked briefly to Jake. Chad noticed the ruffled cot and asked if Jake was sleeping in the workshop.

Jake covered, saying that sometimes he does when he’s working on things late at night. After some bickering, Chad left, and Kate came out of hiding. Jake let it slip that Gwen knew about their affair, and Kate worried about Chad finding out.

Chad then went back to the DiMera living room, where he found Abigail and Gwen. Gwen took off, and Abigail asked Chad if they could invite Jake to Thanksgiving dinner.

Chad said absolutely not and blustered about what a terrible idea it was. Abigail let the issue drop, and she and Chad left for the Horton house.

Over at the Horton house, Gwen learned from Abigail that Chad nixed the idea of inviting Jake to Thanksgiving dinner. JJ tried to make nice with Gwen, who blew him off, and Julie went on about how she’s sure she knows Gwen from somewhere.

Gwen flashed back to being the person who drugged Abigail’s champagne at Julie’s Place all those months ago.

Once everyone was gathered, Julie and Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) made moving toasts about the spirit of the holiday. After the meal, Julie and Doug shared a nice moment together, saying how grateful they were for each other and how much they loved each other.

Meanwhile, Jennifer spent a quiet moment with the flowers that Jack had brought over to the house.

Back at the DiMera mansion, Gwen found Chad pouring a drink in the living room. Gwen thanked Chad for not inviting Jake to Thanksgiving Dinner. “Abigail said that she tried to convince Jake to come,” Gwen said, adding that she would have felt uncomfortable with Jake there.

Back at Jake’s workshop, Kate brought back leftovers from Nicole’s Thanksgiving dinner to Jake. And over at the Brady Pub, JJ brought a piece of pie to Jack, who sat in the pub alone drinking a beer. Abigail walked in and asked if there was room for one more.
