Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the NBC soap has some casting shockers coming up. The COVID-19 aka coronavirus crisis brought things to a screeching halt at the studio, but new episodes are still airing as usual. That’s all thanks to DOOL filming many months in advance, which typically gives casting news lots of time to spill.
However, Kyle Lowder’s (Rex Brady) return stayed under wraps until a Days preview video was released with Rex in it. There was also Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) exit, which seemingly came out of nowhere. Although Kristen will appear again this summer, DOOL was able to keep a tight lid on the fact that Kristen was going to exit at all.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say there are other casting surprises in store, so what else is the show hiding? Let’s focus for a minute on things that’d be easy to keep quiet. The shorter the stint, the more likely it becomes Days can contain it for a while.
It wouldn’t be that hard to keep a one-episode appearance under wraps. If an actor popped into film something special and bailed just as fast, there wouldn’t much of a secret spillage risk. People wouldn’t be snapping pics for weeks or months, which often leads to comebacks being confirmed before they hit the air.
So who might’ve shown up on set to film for a day or two? Could Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) be an option? Reckell’s been willing to stop by for brief return stints in the past, so maybe he was willing to do it again. After all, there’s a very special occasion coming up this summer: Bo’s daughter is getting married!
Since Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) dad won’t be able to walk her down the aisle, she at least deserves a ghostly visit from him. It’d be nice to see Bo appear to Ciara and offer his blessing – perhaps in a cute, protective dad sort of way.
Bo could also offer some advice that might prove helpful when Ciara’s marriage to Ben gets rocky. Ciara would have guidance she could remember and use down the road. Many Days of Our Lives fans would love to see Reckell again.
You might recall that Bo’s spirit appeared to Hope on a couple of occasions, so perhaps it’s Ciara’s turn.
Would you like to see a father-daughter reunion? Could Bo’s ghost visit Ciara on her wedding day? It’s a fun possibility to consider as we ponder what’s already been filmed. Some casting bombs will drop no matter what, so we might as well think about what the future holds!
