General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kim Delaney will make her GH debut during the week of October 5-9. Delaney will take over the role of investigative journalist Jackie Templeton – and there’s a brief shot of her looking like a big deal in the ABC soap’s latest promo.
It appears Jackie will kick off her run at the Metro Court, which makes sense considering that’s where Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) usually conducts her business.
Lulu wants to score more mainstream media attention and crush Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) with a major exposé, but she needs help from a high-profile reporter. It looks like Jackie will come on the scene ready to dive in and help Lulu bring Cyrus’ down.
However, it also looks like Delaney’s going to be sticking around for a while – and that means her role may have to be a bit meatier than just Lulu’s helper. With that in mind, consider some upcoming General Hospital spoilers and the timeline we’re dealing with.
On October 6, Lulu will begin working on her Cyrus corruption story. That should set the stage for Jackie to come on the scene either in that episode’s cliffhanger or in the episode that follows.
On October 7, we may see a continuation of the same Port Charles day based on other spoilers. In that episode, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will meet up with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
All of that seems important because General Hospital spoilers specify where Finn and Chase will meet up: the Metro Court. That’s the very same place Lulu and Jackie should have their meeting during this two-day window, which seems suspicious if you ask us!
Chase and Finn could’ve met up and talked anywhere, but GH writers are putting them in Jackie’s path.
Why would General Hospital want Finn and Chase nearby when Jackie first appears? We can think of a good reason that involves some family drama. It’s quite easy to imagine Chase walking by Jackie’s table and getting a huge shock. “Mom?!”
Of course, we don’t know for sure if Jackie will indeed be Chase’s mother, but it makes sense considering the clues here.
Finn’s always held a grudge against his father, Gregory Chase (James Read), for moving on so fast with Chase’s mom after Finn’s mother died – though we suspect there’s far more to the story.
With Finn and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) wedding coming up, there have been mentions of Gregory and Chase’s mysterious mom. This is the perfect time for Finn’s stepmother to come on the scene and shake things up.
