General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Chloe Lanier (Nelle Benson Archer) is speaking out about her experience with COVID-19 aka the coronavirus, which she believes she has. In an Instagram story, Lanier wrote out a lengthy statement describing her ordeal. What started as a mild cough during her first day of quarantine turned into a runny nose along with a fever.
After Lanier started to suffer from aches and chills, she decided it was time to get in touch with her doctor. Lanier explained her symptoms during her Skype appointment, but she didn’t hit all of the ones laid out by the CDC. That meant the GH star didn’t qualify for testing.
Unfortunately, Lanier’s condition got worse as she began facing shortness of breath and chest pains. That was enough to warrant an ER visit on March 18, which brought another round of bad news. Since Lanier is young and there are so few tests to go around, she couldn’t get one.
“My doctor said I ‘probably have it’ but because of my age and overall health otherwise I should continue to self isolate,” Lanier said in her post. “I’m saddened because there are countless people are being turned away from getting tests that could be infecting others who are more vulnerable. I hope this changes. We need to take care of one another.”
Chloe Lanier went on to talk about the need for more tests and how they should be available to more than just the one percent. It’s clear that Lanier’s quite frustrated over this situation, but she’s trying to stay positive by sending love to her fans and chilling out at home.
“I love you all,” Lanier said as she wrapped things up. “I’m going to binge a few shows, read, and rest up. Please stay inside and don’t take this situation lightly.”
