General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) are both waiting on the perfect moment to strike. Their truce isn’t going to last since they’re both plotting against each other. Cyrus hinted that he needed to take out Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but Sonny’s ready to just go for the big kill and take out Cyrus.
Unfortunately, the ideal opportunity hasn’t presented itself, which leaves Sonny vulnerable. Sonny plans to wait until Cyrus’ guard is down, but what about Sonny’s guard? He seems to have dropped it a bit, which could be a massive mistake.
Sonny thinks he’s got the upper hand here – and it’s not a good idea to assume you’re ahead of the game when dealing with a guy like Cyrus! Sadly, Sonny’s about to become even more vulnerable.
General Hospital spoilers say Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) death will take a lot out of Sonny. He’ll be focused on grieving, so this could be Cyrus’ opportunity to make a deadly move.
Jason should remain in danger as Sonny’s right-hand man, but Sonny himself could be at risk, too. That’s especially true if Cyrus realizes he’s a dead man if he doesn’t strike first. Cyrus may get wind of something that’s in the works on Sonny’s end and know it’s now or never.
Plus, this is Cyrus’ chance to run this town! He has no desire to leave Port Charles with his tail between his legs, so he’ll probably want to take advantage of Sonny’s suffering and target his enemy.
If there’s ever going to be the perfect moment to go after Sonny, it’s while he’d distracted. You can’t get a bigger distraction that Sonny mourning such a terrible loss.
GH fans can expect Mike’s death to take an emotional toll on Sonny. Will Cyrus make things even worse for Sonny and his family? Will Cyrus kick his enemy when he’s down? If so, Cyrus had better watch his back. He’s bound to fail in the end, so this could be what pushes Sonny over the edge and finally leads to Cyrus’ murder.
