General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) sneaky plan could have major consequences for Peter August (Wes Ramsey). GH fans will recall that Spinelli got some help from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) recently.
Sam and Spinelli teamed up on a plot to dupe Peter into believing Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) was back from the dead.
With Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) assistance, Peter ultimately realized it was a trap and responded by delivering some vicious threats to Spinelli. Of course, this opens the door to an interesting possibility.
Now that Helena’s name has been brought up, it could pave the way for her to truly come back from the dead.
What if Peter gets another unsettling phone call from someone claiming to be Helena? There’s no way Peter will buy it. Peter will undoubtedly lash out if that happens and assume it’s more of Spinelli’s trickery.
It’s easy to imagine Peter hurling insults and warnings since he’d assume someone besides Helena was on the other end. However, General Hospital writers could offer genuine trouble this time by letting the real Helena reach out. Perhaps Helena is indeed alive and well.
After all, Peter and Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) wedding will need a big bombshell, right? A truly shocking guest would fit the bill. Helena could show up to wreak havoc down the road, especially if she calls Peter beforehand and gets riled up.
This would be the perfect twist as well as the perfect way to expose Peter on his big day. Helena could tell Maxie and all the other wedding guests some of Peter’s sinister secrets.
Those secrets would include the extent of Peter’s involvement in the memory-mapping project and his role in abducting Drew Cain (Billy Miller) from Afghanistan.
Of course, Peter’s committed far more crimes in an effort to cover his tracks, so those should come out eventually as well. Maybe Helena could return in the flesh and get the ball rolling. Just imagine Peter looking for his lovely bride at the end of the aisle and seeing Helena instead!
Bottom line, Spinelli’s fake Helena scheme is the ideal setup for the real deal. There’d be no better way to drop Peter’s guard and leave him truly spooked by Helena’s return. As other GH news comes in, we’ll bring you more updates.
