General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a familiar name is once again becoming part of the story. GH fans know Drew Cain (Billy Miller) was presumed dead in a plane crash – and it’s all Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) fault. Of course, that wasn’t the first time Peter caused major drama for Drew.
In a recent conversation with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) alluded to all the “sketchy stuff” Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) told her about Peter.
Nelle specifically mentioned Shiloh’s knowledge of Peter kidnapping Drew in Afghanistan. She filled Spinelli in on how Shiloh was going to use that as leverage to get out of prison.
Nelle didn’t mention anything about Drew’s death, but it might be significant that Drew’s becoming such an essential part of Peter’s takedown. Spinelli feels like the Afghanistan kidnapping info is exactly what he needs to expose Peter for the ruthless criminal he is.
Sometimes when a presumed dead character’s name start’s coming up again, it can be a sign that person is about to return.
Plus, we’ve got Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) coming back from the dead. Taggert apparently faked his demise to get Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) off his back and protect his loved ones.
If Drew survived, maybe he has a similar goal in mind. Drew might think it’s best if he appears to be dead or else Peter would just go after him – or his nearest and dearest – once again.
Ordering the hit that killed Drew was arguably the worst of Peter’s offenses. If GH intends to let Peter stick around and perhaps redeem him as a dad for Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby, he doesn’t need Drew’s blood on his hands.
General Hospital would be wise to undo Drew’s death – and that’d be fairly easy considering no body was ever found. A presumed death barely counts on a soap!
Now that Drew’s name is popping back up, it provides some hope that he might return at some point. It’d be great if Drew himself could be part of Peter’s takedown mission in the end. Peter might’ve faced a memory flood off screen, which would leave him ready to rat Peter out!
