General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) may soon be looking for love. Portia’s an intelligent and attractive single lady, so she might as well start searching for her perfect match. There’d be no shortage of suitors if Portia wanted to put herself out there – at least if this were the real world.
Of course, this is Port Charles, which sort of limits Portia’s options. There are only so many eligible bachelors in PC. Plenty of hunks are taken, in the wrong age range or perhaps too far on the dark side. However, that doesn’t mean Portia has to pick someone with a spotless reputation – if such a thing even exists on soaps!
Portia is clearly drawn to men that complicate her life. Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) was a complex guy with secrets – although Portia knew as much as Taggert could safely tell her. Portia’s even kept some secrets herself. She lied to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about being single when Taggert was off on an undercover mission.
There’s a good chance Portia’s still lying about Trina being Curtis’ daughter, so she’s not a squeaky-clean gal. Portia could easily fall for a rough-around-the-edges hunk. What about Mr. Hot Hookup himself, Julian Jerome (William deVry)?
Julian is undoubtedly missing his bedroom buddy now that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is gone. Britt was done with their fling before her departure, but Julian’s bed is still cold.
Portia might be poised to get together with Curtis at some point, but he’s not available right now. As for Julian, General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) going to land back in his orbit.
Unfortunately, Julian hates Brook Lynn’s guts at the moment. He’ll even throw her out of his bar on April 30, so Julian doesn’t seem eager to hook up with Brook Lynn – not yet anyway.
With all that in mind, it makes sense for Julian and Portia to develop a spark. They might start a real love story, but they could at least find passion to get them through some difficult times.
Between Portia’s job at GH and trying to help traumatized Trina, the doc deserves a chance to unwind. Julian could become Portia’s escape – and we all know Julian could use one of those, too.
Regardless, Portia tells Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) about her plans in the April 30 episode. Liz grins and votes for Portia to go for it. Will Liz be rooting for Portia to join the dating pool in PC?
General Hospital spoilers say Portia would have a great pairing option in Julian. It’ll be interesting to see if GH writers head in that direction.
