General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s the potential for a big comeback in Port Charles. GH fans know Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) struggled with terrible grief after the death of her teenage son, Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt). That brought some gripping material for Tamara Braun, who recently won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Of course, Daytime Emmy wins can sometimes lead to buzz and exciting returns. Kim wasn’t exactly a popular character, but Braun is a stellar performer – as evidenced by this Daytime Emmy victory. Braun’s acting was certainly never the problem, so Kim could be brought back with better writing this time around.
It might be interesting to catch up with Kim now that she’s had an opportunity to heal. Kim might be less of a mess and more equipped to deal with her issues. She could also have a huge secret thanks to that hookup with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), who’d been memory-mapped into thinking he was Drew Cain (Billy Miller) at the time.
Before Kim left, General Hospital offered some hints that she might be pregnant. Kim turned down alcohol when Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) was at her apartment.
There was also a dropped stuffed animal, which may have been an old one of Oscar’s or could’ve been a new one in preparation for a bundle of joy. GH planted some clues that they could follow up on eventually.
Could Kim return with Franco’s baby down the road? Just imagine Kim showing up out of the blue with an infant in her arms. Can’t you just envision a stunned Liz opening the door to that? It’d be a tough situation since Franco wasn’t in control of his actions at the time.
Franco never would’ve slept with Kim if he’d been able to think for himself; “Drew” was doing all his thinking for him.
Kim took advantage of Franco’s altered mental state, but she was dealing with the worst pain of her life. That was a complex situation as well thanks to Kim’s time of mourning.
Even so, there’d be plenty of tension and strong emotions if Kim came back with Franco’s baby. It could lead to more problems in Franco and Liz’s marriage, so there’d be a lot of drama to play around with.
