General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that one ABC soap alum revealed some difficult news. On Twitter, Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr Manning and ex-Kiki Jerome) explained that her grandmother is in a nursing home and was recently exposed to COVID-19. Although Alderson doesn’t know if her grandmother has it yet, she shared her thoughts on this tough situation and is hoping for the best.
“Real quick, if you work at a nursing home&are going places without a mask&being careless… that’s my grandmother you just exposed to the virus that you caught,” Alderson said. “You might be fine but we might never see her again. This isn’t just my story, it’s hundreds of thousands. HAVE A SOUL.”
Alderson sent out a follow-up tweet to apologize for the rant, but she just had to speak her mind since she’s so concerned about her grandmother. The former GH actress shared that two nurses at her granny’s nursing home came to work with COVID-19.
That exposed many of the patients there, so now Alderson’s grandmother is “in isolation even more so than she usually is.”
Alderson suggested that now her family can only pray her granny didn’t catch it. Soon after Alderson posted her messages, prayers and well wishes poured in from fans. Many General Hospital viewers were quick to let Alderson know they were in her corner.
Alderson was clearly overwhelmed by how much support she received. It meant a lot to Alderson since her family’s having such a rough time grappling with these fears. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the loving tweets wishing my granny well! I’ll keep you updated,” Alderson promised.
As Alderson wrapped things up, she talked about some of the devastating stories of loss she’s been hearing. Alderson wanted to offer some supportive words of her own to those who are struggling. “Also, a lot of you shared your story with me of people that you have lost to covid & it’s heartbreaking. Sending love & strength to all of you!!” Alderson tweeted.
