General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Emme Rylan will be exiting as Lulu Spencer, so it’s time to start thinking about how her run will wrap up. Will Lulu leave dead or alive? That seems to be the question on many GH fans’ minds, so let’s talk about what we know so far.
For starters, General Hospital spoilers say Lulu’s departure will be an abrupt one. There might be a little buildup as far as dangerous hints go, but it’ll mostly be a situation where Lulu exits hastily.
We also have to think about Lulu’s life right now. Lulu is working on a big story with the famous Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) – a story that could send Lulu’s career to the stratosphere.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) also just came back to town, so it’s tough to imagine Lulu just deciding to pack up and leave with the kids voluntarily. Lulu’s job, family and future are right there in Port Charles.
Although it’s possible Lulu will get offered a new position elsewhere that she can’t refuse, it doesn’t seem like the most plausible option under the circumstances. Lulu shares custody of Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), so that’s an issue here.
Lulu won’t want to deny Dante access to Charlotte and Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) either.
With all that in mind, it seems safe to assume we’re dealing with a dangerous forced exit for Lulu. That brings us to the original question of whether Lulu will leave dead or alive.
There’s a chance Lulu will go into hiding or get some witness protection type of exit. There’s plenty of peril between Dante’s Peter mission and Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) growing threat against Laura’s family.
Lulu could have a target on her back due to the Cyrus story as well as Cyrus’ vengeful obsession with Laura.
It’s possible Lulu will get an exit like Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) got where she’s forced to leave her children behind, but that’d mean doing a repeat story.
That’s probably not something GH writers would be thrilled about doing, especially since there’s a perfectly good disaster coming up! The timing of Lulu’s exit fits for her to get caught in The Floating Rib explosion later this month.
General Hospital may want something big for November sweeps, so Lulu’s death or at least presumed death is a strong possibility here. Of course, no death has to be permanent on a soap.
Lulu could be brought back no matter how this exit plays out, so maybe that’ll give Lulu fans some hope as we brace for what’s in store.
