General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is about to gain some serious advantages. GH fans know Nelle’s grown closer to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at Crimson. Nina hired Nelle with the intention of scoring dirt and helping Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but she ultimately started to think maybe Nelle deserved another chance.
Since Nina sees a lot of herself in Nelle, there’s already a strong bond forming. Nina will certainly want to connect with Nelle even more once they’re revealed as mother and daughter.
Although part of Nelle seems to actually care about Nina, that doesn’t mean she can turn off the manipulative side of herself. There are bound to be more instances of manipulation on Nelle’s end as this story moves along.
Of course, Nelle may not even have to do that much manipulating if Nina’s handing her everything she wants on a silver platter! When Nina thought Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was her daughter, she worked hard to make sure Sasha liked her.
Nina’s desperate for that mother-daughter bond, so she’s bound to throw love and support at Nelle in several different ways.
For starters, Nelle may get a promotion at Crimson and the chance to do plenty of big fashion events. Nina will certainly think of some bonding strategies and put herself in the prime position to fall prey to Nelle’s twisted tactics.
If there’s anything Nelle wants specifically, all she’ll have to do is say the word – at least if it’s legal and can be justified somehow.
Nelle’s a master of spin, so she’ll have tons of opportunities to gain Nina’s support against the Corinthos clan. That’s especially true if Nina helps Nelle get joint custody.
It could lead to more fighting with Michael and his family, so Nelle could insist Nina needs to back her up and stand against them. Nelle would want Nina to prove her support was genuine.
Nelle’s got money thanks to the deal she worked out for the ELQ shares, but she could always use more. Money and power are two things Nelle’s absolutely interested in.
Nelle could get more of each one thanks to Nina being in her corner. Nina will likely dote on her daughter despite warnings from people like Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
Nelle will have a great ally in her new mom, but this could also set Nelle up to crash and burn later. If Nelle stabs Nina in the back, there’ll be a price to pay! Nelle’s downfall could be brutal if General Hospital lets Nina put her on a pedestal first.
