General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will be a woman on a mission. As GH viewers know, Liesl recently announced that she was coming back to Port Charles from Geneva.
Really, Liesl has no choice, since she was complicit in the staging of Dr. Warren Kirk’s (Jamison Jones) body after Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) accidentally killed the physician.
Now Liesl wants to take over the “handling” of Dante Falconeri (Dominick Zamprogna) back in Port Charles.
Liesl is hell-bent on clearing her good name by proving that Perter August (Wes Ramsey) is the person who committed the crimes that she was charged with – including the death of Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and the near murders of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Andre Maddox (Anthony Washington) in the OR.
But Liesl isn’t going to be happy with just taking Peter down; she wants to implicate Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in helping to protect Peter as well. Liesl’s got a lot of anger toward Peter and Anna, and it seems that she’d do just about anything to ruin Peter’s and Anna’s lives as payback.
Well, Liesl just might get her chance at causing major havoc in both Peter’s and Anna’s lives, given that there’s a big double wedding coming up. As GH viewers know, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) wrangled Anna and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) into participating in a double wedding with herself and Peter.
Wedding plans are barreling forward, and there’s been a lot of talk on the show about how great and special the nuptials are going to be. And since the shindig is being talked up a lot, that’s a sure sign that something big is going to go down.
Surely, if Liesl can finagle it, she’ll get some proof against Peter and unveil it all at the wedding. It would be just like Liesl to show up and crash the wedding, revealing all the dirt on Peter’s murderous ways.
Of course, for Liesl, this would kill two birds with one stone. Liesl could see to it that Peter is hauled off from the wedding by the cops, and she could also expose how Anna deliberately withheld information from the police about Peter’s connection to OR gunman that he ended up killing. That would get Anna in hot water, too.
We’ll see what happens here, but we’d say the likelihood of this double wedding going off without a hitch is slim to none – especially if Liesl is in town, and especially after she finds out that Maxie is pregnant with Peter’s child. Liesl will probably be driven to protect that child from his father, so that may motivate her even more.
