General Hospital Spoilers: Phyllis Caulfield Reveals Exact Baby Birthdate to Nina – Lines Up with Nelle’s Headstone, Huge Clue?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) decision to plan Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) burial could be important for several reasons. For starters, it further solidifies this connection Nina felt to Nelle despite all her flaws and mistakes.

Nina’s doing what she’d be doing if she knew she were Nelle’s biological mother, so it’ll hit her hard when the truth comes out.

Having a marked grave for Nelle will also give Nina somewhere to mourn when the time comes. Can’t you just envision it already? Nina will inevitably be sobbing over that grave down the road – apologizing for not being able to save her precious girl!

However, Nelle’s headstone could also become a crucial puzzle piece. Nina had this headstone made for Nelle and has spent a good chunk of time staring at it. Now that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has toppled the thing over, Nina’s bound to give this headstone even more attention.

Nina will want to make sure it’s set up properly again, so that’ll bring more chances to dwell on Nelle’s passing – and keep noticing the date of Nelle’s birth. Nelle’s headstone shows Nelle’s birthdate as June 15th, 1992.

When you’re talking about a storyline involving a long-lost child, a birthdate seems incredibly significant.

Back when Nina believed Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was her daughter, Nina thought she was born in February since she gave her an amethyst birthstone.

Sasha turned out not to be the real deal, so it doesn’t really matter when Nina’s fake daughter was supposedly born. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) just duped Nina with all the bogus information.

When Nina and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) went to New York on their mission to find out more about the half-heart necklace, Nina sought a receipt from sometime in 1991.

She was thrilled when the jeweler came back with one from September 1991, which is when Phyllis Caulfield placed the order to separate the heart pendants.

It seems like there are a few possibilities here. One is that General Hospital simply screwed up on Nelle’s headstone – or changed the birth year of Nelle’s daughter since it really doesn’t line up historically anyway. Soaps tend to mess with ages a lot, so that’s crucial to keep in mind.

Perhaps what GH writers are going with now is that Phyllis had the pendant separated in September 1992. Think of it like when the show frequently changes the birth year for children.

Maybe Phyllis cared for Nina’s baby for a few months after Nelle was born on June 15 – and then had these heart halves made in September before Nelle wound up with Frank Benson.

Whatever the case, Phyllis may be able to reveal the exact birthdate of Nina’s baby once Nina gets in touch. Won’t it kind of weird Nina out if it lines up with Nelle’s birthdate EXACTLY? That’ll be eerie to say the least!

Naturally, it’s also possible that Nelle believed her birthdate to be a different day than it actually was. If it lines up though, we’d say this could be another way to intensify the bond Nina feels when it comes to Nelle.

It could also help the puzzle pieces come together once Nelle’s necklace surfaces as the final shocker.
