General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that it will be a week of heartbreak and great courtroom drama. The new GH preview for the week of May 11th promises a lot, so let’s get right into it! First off, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will deal with one of the most difficult struggles he’s faced – the demise and impending death of his father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail). As GH viewers know, Mike is in a steady state of decline due to his Alzheimer’s.
It looks like the issue of Mike’s DNR will take center stage this week, as Sonny is shown in the promo lamenting that he’s not ready to let his father go. Sonny angrily asks someone, “What if he doesn’t what to die?” It’s going to be a terrible situation for Sonny, who will probably be faced with making the decision about the DNR himself.
After all, Mike doesn’t seem to be able to speak for himself at this point. Mike is nearly catatonic most of the time, and his body is virtually unable to walk or even eat. It looks like Sonny will get pressure about the DNR, and something’s going to have to give. Sonny can’t keep denying the inevitable forever.
Next, the new GH preview promo addresses the custody battle that’s going to kick off in court this week on the show. Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) is shown telling her lawyer Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) that they need a “counter move.”
GH spoilers indicate that Nelle is going to get some leverage this week against Julian Jerome (Wiliam deVry), and this looks like it’s going be her counter move.
At this point, GH spoilers point to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) getting married in order to bolster Michael’s chances at winning custody. But could Nelle get married as well?
It’s looking like Nelle is going to accidentally learn that Julian caused the accident that put Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) into a coma and use it to blackmail Julian into a marriage.
That would certainly count as a counter move! And while Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) warns Michael that stripping a mother of her custody rights is difficult, it could get even more difficult if Nelle marches into the courtroom a married woman with Julian by her side!
Sure, Julian has a problematic history, but he also has a good relationship with his own young son, so that could work in his favor.
At any rate, GH spoilers say that Nelle will be making a stunning entrance into court by the end of the week. The promo shows the hearing starting, but no Nelle, as Willow asks where her nemesis is. It appears that Nelle will be fashionably late to the hearing, but will she have her new husband Julian on her arm?
