General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Marcus Taggert’s (Real Andrews) death may not be quite what it seems. Would GH really bring the fan favorite back after all this time just to kill him off? General Hospital viewers are certainly holding out hope that this was a giant fake-out.
Of course, that’d mean making the cruel decision to leave Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) in the dark, but Taggert may have decided it was worth it. Keeping Trina safe has to be the priority. It’s be better for Trina to not know what’s up – especially since it could provide some incredibly soapy drama later.
General Hospital spoilers, news and updates say Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will debut on March 5. Since Portia is likely Trina’s mother, she can be deceived as well and let Taggert have it down the line.
Portia may wonder how Taggert could let their daughter suffer like that. GH will presumably go through all the motions of a funeral and burial, even if they’re offscreen. It’s bound to be incredibly painful for Trina.
Cameron Webber (William Lipton) pointed out that when Trina supported him through the Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) memory-mapping ordeal, he always had hope that Franco would return.
It saddened Cam to think that Trina doesn’t have that hope, but maybe she does! The timing was certainly suspicious since Taggert had a blood clot just after Trina went to get his malted milk balls.
Did Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) help Taggert fake his death? That’d be another soapy element of this storyline. Sonny certainly doesn’t get along with Taggert, but caring about Trina is the one thing they can agree on.
It’s clear that Taggert’s presence in town is putting Trina at risk. It’d be better for Sonny to defeat Cyrus and then let Taggert reveal that he survived.
Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) would seemingly have to be in on the scheme, but perhaps it was something they were willing to do. Trina and Cameron could’ve died thanks to this escalating mob war, so safety has to come before everything else.
Lucas and Epiphany definitely want to save lives – and faking Taggert’s demise may have been the only way to do that in this case.
General Hospital spoilers say more bombshells are brewing, so will Taggert’s faked death be the next one? As other GH updates pop up, don’t miss all the latest General Hospital spoilers and news here at CDL.
