General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that quite a war could be brewing on the ABC soap. Everyone’s wondering who’ll be the one to truly take down Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Peter certainly has plenty of enemies, but it may be an ally who poses the biggest threat now.
GH fans know Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has been showing off his protective side lately when it comes to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Valentin also had a HUGE reaction to the news that Anna may not be Peter’s mother.
On the October 15 episode, Valentin was extremely relieved and beat himself up for not realizing it sooner.
“Do you know what this means?” Valentin said excitedly. “This means I didn’t follow you that night. You didn’t sleep with Faison. I didn’t deliver your baby to him afterwards. I never betrayed you!”
Anna tried to remind Valentin that what he did was despicable, even if he did it to Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes). However, Valentin didn’t seem to care anymore.
“Of course it was Alex,” Valentin insisted. “You would never have slept with Faison. I should have known that. I think I always knew that.” Anna pointed out that this would devastate Peter, but Valentin didn’t have much of a reaction to that either.
His guilt was previously driving his loyalty to Peter – and that guilt is gone now.
Valentin probably won’t give Peter updates on what he’s learned out of respect for Anna, but his extreme reaction proved this was a game-changer. That’s especially true since Peter could turn on Anna once his life falls apart.
Anna has been worried that Peter might revert to dark tendencies if he realizes he’s the son of not one, but two villains: Alex and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Plus, down-the-road General Hospital spoilers say Anna will suffer for her silence.
There’ll be a price to pay for keeping her Alex suspicions a secret from Peter.
Considering Peter nearly murdered Anna before Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) intervened in 2018, he obviously can’t be trusted. Peter could go off the rails after all his crimes are exposed. Whether Valentin plays a role in exposing them or not, he could easily play a role in what comes next.
It’s easy to imagine Peter turning on Anna after his life with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) falls apart. Peter will be a dangerous man with nothing left to lose – and he may blame Anna for ever making him believe he could be happy.
Will GH come full circle by having Peter pull a gun on Anna again? If so, it may be Valentin who pulls a gun of his own! Valentin might have to shoot Peter to protect Anna if it comes down to it.
General Hospital has laid the groundwork if they want to take things in that direction, so we’ll see how it all plays out!
