General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, August 12 – Jason’s Memory Loss – Sole Custody Winner Revealed – Lucy Breaks ELQ Tie Vote

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, August 12, tease that Sam McCall (Lindsay Hartley) will be thrilled over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) improvement. Jason just opened his eyes, so Sam was relieved by that alone. On Wednesday, Jason will start talking again and give Sam another sign of hope.

However, Jason clearly won’t remember anything about the crash. Wednesday’s preview video shows Jason asking why he’s there – meaning at GH in that hospital bed. It’s common for injured patients to forget an accident and the events right before it, so that may be what’s happening here.

Of course, there’s always a risk of full-blown amnesia on soaps, but Jason might just be fuzzy on the crash details.

Meanwhile, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will have a tough decision to make. The Quartermaines are counting on Lucy to come through for them as the deciding ELQ vote, but this probably isn’t going to swing their way.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is backing Deception, so Lucy certainly won’t want to get on his bad side and risk having him pull funding. Besides, Lucy just had a nice chat with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who assured her he’s interested in supporting both the Nurses Ball and the hospital.

All that’s left to do it break the tie and vote with Valentin – at least that makes the most sense from Lucy’s perspective. That also lines up with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) voicing his disappointment and ripping into Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) on Wednesday.

Ned just found out Brook Lynn no longer has control of her shares, so he’ll lash out no matter what. Nevertheless, Ned will be a great deal angrier if Lucy sides with Valentin on not bailing out GH. It’ll prove to Ned that Valentin’s running the show!

Other General Hospital spoilers say Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will have some positive words to pass along. Jax will tell Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that this could be the break they’ve been hoping for. It seems this ties in with the necklace or at least Nina’s search for her bio daughter.

Little does Nina know her bio daughter’s right there in town – the very woman she betrayed in court. Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) has a knack for pushing buttons, so it looks like she’ll rile Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) up on Wednesday.

Willow will end up walking out, so she may be so angry and disgusted that she just can’t be in the same room with Nelle anymore.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will corner Willow just outside the door and insist that she needs to get back in that courtroom. Unfortunately, it seems Willow won’t make it back in time for the ruling based on Wednesday’s preview video.

The judge will grant sole custody to someone – and Michael seems like the logical option under the circumstances.

Nelle will look horrified, but she’s still got those passports and a tracker to rely on. One way or another, Nelle intends to raise Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). If that means snatching the kid and trying to run, then so be it.

Next, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will get support from Felix DuBois (Marc Anthony Samuel), so that may be for himself or it could be an effort to keep Mike Corbin (Max Gail) comfortable.

Mike will tell Sonny that he’s ready to go home, so that should break Sonny’s heart. It’s clear that Mike’s nearing the end of his Alzheimer’s battle, so Sonny will have to come to grips with this looming loss.
