General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) recently made a big decision that may affect her future more than she knows. Now that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is believed to be dead, there’s nothing to prevent Willow from adopting Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson).
Willow had a deep conversation with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about where they stand on a potential romance, but they’re just playing it by ear on that part.
Neither Michael nor Willow wants a divorce at this point, so they’re just going to keep getting to know each other for a while and see how it goes. In the meantime, Willow’s on board with adopting Wiley.
Of course, Nelle is most likely alive despite the evidence – or lack thereof since GH fans still haven’t seen the body. She could easily be keeping tabs on her old enemies in Port Charles.
It also makes sense for Nelle to keep tabs on Wiley since she does care about her son in her own twisted way – even if it’s mostly because she doesn’t want Michael and Willow to have him.
Nelle may be recovering from cliff fall injuries or perhaps she’s just staying out of the picture until she can form a proper plan. Regardless, Nelle isn’t going to like it if she gets updates on Willow becoming Wiley’s adoptive mother.
Michael has referred to Willow as Wiley’s “real” mom before and views this adoption as making it official. However, Nelle certainly won’t want Michael’s perfect wife swooping and stealing her son. The adoption news may trigger something in Nelle and leave her eager to take action.
Naturally, the adoption process can take quite some time, so this might even be the setup for Nelle’s return down the road. Perhaps just before Willow officially becomes Wiley’s adoptive mother, Nelle might come back on the scene and try to prevent it.
If Nelle reveals that she’s alive, that could bring the proceedings to a screeching halt.
Nelle would have to find a way to wiggle out of all the charges she’s facing, but she’s done it in the past – like when she pinned the baby swap entirely on Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).
Although Nelle would have more trouble this time around, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is Mr. Fix-It. He might manage to make Nelle’s legal drama go away for bio mom Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) sake.
If Nelle’s still living as we suspect, General Hospital spoilers say she’ll definitely want revenge on Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Nevertheless, Nelle won’t forget about Wiley since he’s what started this mess in the first place. The claws may come out again if Nelle resurfaces and targets Willow over Wiley’s adoption.
