General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get some news that leaves her floored. Of course, we’re talking about the news that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) is Nina’s biological daughter! Nina doesn’t have a clue yet, but she will once she catches a glimpse of Nelle’s half-heart pendant necklace. That should be the first sign that leads Nina to the shocking truth.
Nina’s been longing for her bio daughter and has become especially desperate to find her lately. However, Nina doesn’t expect her daughter to be someone like Nelle! Although Nina has seen Nelle’s softer side and has found a way to connect with her, she also knows what Nelle’s capable of.
Nina already wants to help Nelle, but knowing she’s Nelle’s mother will make her even more determined. Things could get complicated depending on whether Nina supports Nelle in court. There’s also the matter of Nelle’s behavior in the coming months.
At some point, General Hospital will surely deliver some clashing and leave Nina wondering what she’s going to do with her mess of a daughter. Nina may feel like a failure as a mom. Perhaps Nina will even fear Nelle’s a lost cause if Nelle spirals out of control as usual.
Once Nina’s overwhelmed and filled with uncertainty, could she get support from someone surprising? This might be a great time for Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) to pop in and offer Nina some words of wisdom.
Although Nina and Nathan were cousins, they were raised as siblings. Nina considered Nathan her brother and affectionately called him “J.”
Nathan was already dead by the time Cynthia Watros took over as recast, but that doesn’t mean Nina’s history should be ignored. Michelle Stafford had plenty of touching scenes with Ryan Paevey back when they were both on GH. Nina was quite close to Nathan, so it’d be reasonable for her to get a heavenly visit down the road.
If anyone could calm Nina and assure her that she’s got this, it’d be Nathan. Maybe Nathan could appear to Nina in a dream and give her the patience to deal with Nelle. Nathan used to give solid advice, so this would be his chance to weigh in on Nina’s new daughter from beyond the grave!
Although Nathan would still be protective, he might also understand how much Nina needs this to work. Nina will want to love Nelle and get genuine love in return, so Nathan could insist that it’s possible. As other GH details emerge, we’ll provide updates.
