General Hospital Spoilers: William Lipton Talks Filming with Steve Burton – Cameron Near-Death Experience & Scary Favorite Scene

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that William Lipton has earned plenty of fans as Cameron Webber, the fun teen with a heart of gold. Although Cameron knows how to party and has made his fair share of mistakes, he cares about his friends and family. Lipton’s great in sweet and sensitive scenes, but he admitted he enjoyed tackling some action in a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest.

GH fans will recall how Cameron and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) were kidnapped as part of the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) storyline. It turns out Lipton absolutely loved that story arc and had a blast shooting it. Lipton insisted that “it was filled with gunfire and action and just felt so exciting.”

Of course, Lipton’s talented costars were a huge part of why he enjoyed those thrilling scenes. The General Hospital actor praised Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford), Real Andrews (Marcus Taggert), Sydney Mikayla and “all those fantastic stunt people.”

A lot of work went into making that storyline possible, so Lipton was clearly impressed with the team effort.

Lipton went on to talk about some terrifying moments for Cameron – like those moments when Cam feared death was imminent. This GH star thought back on one scene in particular and acknowledged it as one of his favorites in his entire run on the show.

“When I worked with Steve Burton [Jason] on the part where Cameron was about to die, even though it seemed pretty scary, it was one of my favorites to film in the two years I’ve been working at GH,” Lipton said. General Hospital viewers certainly enjoyed watching Cameron and Jason tackle all that drama together!

Will Cameron face another round of action once new episodes return? Time will tell, but that’s certainly a possibility to consider – especially since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has seemingly let his guard down a bit when it comes to Cyrus. The teens are off lockdown, which could prove to be a mistake if Cyrus strikes again.

Whatever the case, let’s hope Lipton has some great scenes coming up once GH resumes production. The cast and crew are set to get back to work starting the week of July 20, but keep in mind that return date could change. We’ll pass along updates as other news rolls in.
