After having a great week and commitment ceremony, David and Hayley got into a fight about a movie they were watching. They fought so much he left and got another hotel room.
The next morning, they talk about it. David is sick of how she treats him. He thinks she talks rudely to him while she thinks he is too sensitive. He shares that he is at the end of his rope.
Connie and Jonathen wake in separate rooms. He stayed out and drank with the boys all night. She is very angry. He confesses he screwed up. He wants to know now what to do. She is angry. He talks about his family coming to visit. She storms off annoyed.
Michael welcomes his mom. He and Stacey talk to her about how things are going. Brooke, Michael’s friend arrives. They all eat dinner and discuss Michael’s partying. His mother knows he is a free spirit. They all hope he can calm down.
At Connie and Jonathen’s, family arrives. Things are tense. They discuss him going out. Connie’s mom isn’t happy. But she points out how hard this must all be for them. Jonathen’s mom has hope. She is routing for them. Connie gets emotional. Her mother tells her to come home if she is unhappy.
Mishel and Steve are doing better. He has been listening. He is, however, sick with diarrhea and stomach cramps. She cooks as they get ready fro their family to arrive for brunch. Michel’s daughter and sister arrive. Soon after Steve’s closet friends arrive.
Mishel’s daughter is there to make sure her mom is getting the respect they deserve. They all get to talking. Mishel shares they have their ups and downs. Mishel talks about how aggressive Steve can be. Her daughter gets in on the conversation. His explanation isn’t sitting well with her daughter. He goes on to add that he has been listening more and waiting to talk.
Hayley and David meet with her father and his friend. David has his friends there. The whole gathering is uncomfortable. David talks about how Hayley cuts him off a lot. He has been trying but he is running out of patience. He starts to talk and she cuts him off. They start to argue. David’s friends are concerned. Hayley’s friend comes to her rescue, trying to explain. By the end of the lunch, things are better. Everyone is laughing.
Mishel’s daughter talks to Steve one on one about how he treats her mom. She tells him how her mom had a hard time raising her kids. Her dad cheated. Steve comforts her. He shares how special Mishel is to him. Her daughter starts to feel better.
