All twenty-four participants are back. This Part Two of the reunion and things seem to have gone off the rails between Stacey and her husband Michael. This particular couple has had their troubles in the past. There was a cheating scandal with Michael because he went out drinking with other participants and he allegedly got so drunk that he tried it on with several women at the bar. He managed to cross a line with Hayley who was another wife in the experiment. The two of them made out and it got back to Michael’s wife Stacey. Stacey then did something on her own. She either kicked him out and decided to heal on her own. Or she got even.
Stacey is accused of sleeping with another husband in the experiment. She has revealed in the past that she’s treated on a partner in retaliation for them cheating on her and it looks like she’s done it again with Michael. Michael was staying at another place following his own cheating. He has no idea what Stacey did when she was on her own and tonight it’s clear that he believes the accusation. Michael was very short with Stacey tonight and they were avoiding looking at each other while they sat on the couch. Tonight, the participants are going before the experts one final time. The experts were going to ask them how’s life been since the experiment and they were going to be tracking each participant’s journey.
Connie and Jonethen were two different people when they first entered the experiment. Connie was especially different. She joined the show as a very shy and introverted person. She also couldn’t really rely on her family during this time. They were dismissive of the experiment and they laughed when they were first told she was getting married. Their minds instantly went to the fact that she didn’t have a boyfriend. She hasn’t been seeing someone for a while and so Connie was seeking a change when she came into the competition. She was hoping to find someone who would complete her. She instead found out that she needed to be complete on her own and she got lucky with Jonethen.
Jonethen occasionally gave her mixed signals. Only he never set out to hurt or manipulate her and the two ended the experiment as friends in spite of not being together as a couple. They were considered one of the lucky ones because of it. There were others there tonight that hated each other. Before tonight, Aleks and Ivan seemed to be a former couple that held great animosity towards each other and so tonight was so different because they finally revealed their relationship. Aleks said she got home and she started to miss Ivan. She came close to throwing him away during the experiment because she was accused of meeting someone new. She also told people about this other person she was seeing and so that made her reaction to Ivan seem almost cruel.
Ivan was interested in Aleks. He was very clear about that from the start. He never revealed to anyone if he slept with her or not because Aleks didn’t want people to know that and so he sided with her. He mostly chose her over himself. He also ignored the rumors of her cheating. He let Aleks dictate their relationship and so naturally Ivan came running back the moment Aleks revealed she misses him. He came running back in spite of nasty things ended. Ivan was accused of getting his friends to question Aleks about this other relationship and she was so mad with him that she didn’t want to wait until the ceremony. She exited the experiment early. She got around having to discuss her feelings and everyone was feeling bad for Ivan up until tonight.
For things to change much less so fast, Aleks must have really have missed him. She and Ivan are back together. They were in love and so rewatching how they exit the experiment wasn’t great. They rehashed all the negativity from that time. Aleks also made it known that the accusations were false and that she never cheated on her husband. She said she didn’t know about other couples but she and Ivan wouldn’t be sitting together if she had cheated on him. Aleks did such an about-face over her relationship with Ivan that it shocked some of the others. They all remembered how things ended. They remembered that Aleks said there was no passion and so they wanted to know what happened.
Josh and Michael also stand by what they said when they last saw Aleks. She was telling people she slept with Ivan one day and then claiming there was no passion the next. Aleks humiliated Ivan in front of the others. She embarrassed him and he wasn’t addressing it tonight. Ivan seems to move past what happened because he was just that in love with Aleks. Whether she was in love with him was something everyone was questioning. Josh didn’t really believe it and he was one of the few people to accuse Aleks of lying when he last saw her. And he’s still accusing her of lying tonight. Josh has little reason to believe Aleks and Ivan will suddenly work out now.
Mishel and Steve were the next couples to sit on the couch. They didn’t work out during the experiment and they aren’t suddenly in a relationship now. Mishel and Steve were broken up. Things were different for them when they first met because they both liked each other right away and they had a great friendship. It just never progressed to anything more than that. Steve was stringing her along by saying his feelings for her were changing and Mishel realized this for herself when her husband refused to give her an open-mouth kiss. He wasn’t attracted to her. He was never going to be attracted to her and so she ended things.
Mishel ended things with Steve by telling her he wasted her time. She truly felt the words when she said them and so Steve is trying to be the nice guy. He said he never meant to make Mishel feel unattractive. They were never going to agree on his behavior and so it was time to move on. Hayley and Dave sat on the chair next. They were the most volatile couple the experts have ever seen and they were also the first to ever be ejected from the experiment. Hayley is an earlier mentioned cheating scandal with Michael and Dave took the news so poorly that he cleaned his toilet with Hayley’s toothbrush.
Luckily, Hayley was warned before she used the toothbrush. She then tried to get revenge on him by forcing him to stay in the experiment and the experts banded together to finally put an end to this marriage. They ejected from the experiment. They probably even started divorce proceedings on the same day. Hayley and Dave were less angry about it now. They both realized they were never going to work and so it’s good that they left. It’s just that legacy they left behind was still resonating to this day. Hayley was really to task for kissing another woman’s husband and what was so poignant about the time is that Stacey said if that had been her she would have gone to the grave with it.
Hayley thought that was very telling. Another thing is that Michael still claims not remembering what happened that night and Vanessa couldn’t believe it. Vanessa was there with them that night. She was there with Chris and she said Hayley and Michael were making out for a long time. Her then-husband Chris said all he saw was flirtatious dancing and so former the couple disagreed on what actually happened. Stacey said she wasn’t sure what to believe. She still thought she owed Hayley an apology for the way she went at her and so she did apologize tonight for repeatedly calling Hayley a betraying tramp.
Stacey and Michael sat on the couch. Things were tense between them and its been like this since Mikey claimed he slept with Stacey. He claims he slept with Stacey after she found out about Michael and Hayley and that it happened after Michael was kicked out of the apartment. In all honesty, Stacey had been done with her marriage at that point. She did write Leave that week and she truly thought she was never going to get back together with Michael. The fact they did get back together was a surprise for Stacey. She, therefore, though she was single and that could be why she slept with Mikey.
Only Stacey still says it didn’t happen. She and Michael watched how their relationship began and they were much happier during those days. They had trusted each other back then. They loved each other and they believed they had a future together. To go from that to this tonight, it was a great free fall. Mikey spoke up and he said he was so sorry. He never meant to destroy a relationship. He thought they were over and so he apologized to Michael. Michael appeared to believe him when he said he slept with Michael’s wife. Michael was so upset by it that he told Mikey that those ten seconds better have been worth it.
Because that’s the joke. Mikey’s own marriage to Natasha failed because she told a bunch of people that he only lasted ten seconds in the sack and that got back to Mikey. He was embarrassed to have that information out there. He no longer trusted his wife or even wanted to be with his wife. So, he was ripe for cheating at the exact moment Stacey was. Stacey said nothing happened, but Mikey has evidence. Mikey has text messages that she sent him and he wasn’t afraid to read it out now. He also reminded that Stacey returned his clothes to Ivan. Ivan and Mikey are friends and Ivan corroborated this story.
With all of this evidence, it does look like Stacey cheated too. Michael believes it and so his marriage to Stacey is over. She’s never going, to be honest about what happened and Michael needs honesty if they were going to move past this new cheating scandal. Without honesty or better yet trust, the marriage is over. Both parties acknowledged that the marriage is over and so there was more hope for Lizzie and Seb. They both chose to stay in their marriage at the Final Decision. Seb is planning on moving in with Lizzie and so, for now, their happy. They chose each other. They were happy with that choice and nothing seems like it can take away from them.
And that’s it. Their season is over and the couples are now free to see other people.
