Stargirl Recap 06/09/20: Season 1 Episode 4 "Wildcat"

Tonight on the CW their new series Stargirl premieres with an all-new Tuesday, June 9, 2020, season 1 episode 4 and we have your Stargirl recap below. In tonight’s episode called, “Wildcat,”  season 1 episode 4 as per the CW synopsis, “After realizing that she needs the extra help, Courtney sets out to recruit new members to the Justice Society of America – starting with Yolanda. Elsewhere, Pat’s suspicion is piqued after a bizarre conversation with one of the town’s residents.

Three months ago – A young girl name Yolanda wakes and goes to school. She passes out buttons for the student council. That night she goes home and is studying when her boyfriend sends her a text. He asks her to send him a sexy pic. She is reluctant but does. The next day her running mate gets a hold of the picture and sends it to everybody while she is on stage making her speech. She cries and runs off the stage.

Present-day – Courtney looks through the things that she collected from the Justice Society’s headquarters. At breakfast, Mike makes a joke about how Courtney has no friends. Her mother comforts her before heading to work. Pat pulls her aside and tells her he’s sorry about Joey. She tells him that they need to find recruits for a new justice society.

At school, Courtney sees Yolanda being bullied by Cindy. She tries to help and is threatened by Cindy. Yolanda tells Courtney to just leave her alone.

Pat runs into Joey’s mother Denise who is having car problems. He is sorry for her loss. She doesn’t take his sympathy well.

At the injustice society headquarters, Andrew speaks with Dr. Ito. They plan to join forces with Andrew willing to finally build his machine.

Courtney tracks down Yolanda in the gym that is empty. Yolanda is working on the punching bag. Courtney invites her to our house for 630. It’s important they need to talk about joining forces in the blue valley. Yolanda really doesn’t seem interested but Courtney promises that if she doesn’t like what she hears she’ll never bother her again.

That night, Yolanda asks her mom to go to Courtney’s and she tells her she is still grounded. The next day at school Courtney admits to Yolanda that she blew up Henry’s car and not on purpose. They bond over how much they don’t like Henry.

Denise comes to pick up her car from Pat. He notices boxes inside. She tells him not to trust the town. She gets nervous about seeing too much and takes off.

Courtney brings Yolanda to our house to show her the cosmic staff. Then she shares that Starman is her father and she also has her own costume. Yolanda has no idea who Starman is but agrees to see her costume. After Courtney shows her the star girl costume she offers her Wildcats costume.

Yolanda puts it on and it magically fits like a glove. They head into town, experimenting in their suits. Courtney tells Yolanda about Henry’s dad and how he is a supervillain named Brain Wave. They head to the hospital to see if any other members of the injustice society are visiting him.

At the hospital, Yolanda does uses her new superpowers that come with the suit to climb up the Outside of the hospital Wall. Courtney meets her inside. Well the nurses distracted by a mess left behind by Courtney in the supply closet, Yolanda checks the visitor log. She then heads into the brain waves room where she sees Henry crying by his bedside. She gets ready to attack him from behind but changes her mind. She clings to the ceiling when he turns around. After he leaves, Yolanda and Courtney meet in the room but quickly hide when a woman comes in. The woman takes out a violin and plays. They realize the woman is their principal.

Outside of the hospital, Beth sees Yolanda scaling the wall. Back at Courtney‘s, Yolanda gives back the wild catsuit. She needs to work on being her self again before she can be anyone else. Yolanda heads home and apologizes to her family, telling them that she is sorry but it has been months. Her speech doesn’t go well. Her family only reminds her that she has disgraced them and sends her to her room.

In a room she finds the wildcat suit and a note from Courtney, telling her that she can’t do it alone. Yolanda heads to Courtney’s to tell her she is in.

Pat heads to the junkyard for scrap for his robot when he sees a black cat. He spots. Denise’s car all smashed up.
