Stumptown Recap 02/19/20: Season 1 Episode 15 “At All Costs: The Conrad Costas Chronicles”

Tonight on ABC their drama Stumptown based on the graphic novel airs with an all-new Wednesday, February 19, 2019, season 1 episode 15 called, “At All Costs: The Conrad Costas Chronicles,” and we have your Stumptown recap below. On tonight’s Stumptown season 1 episode 9 as per the ABC synopsis, “Dex and Grey help a client who believes her Hollywood script has been plagiarized by a former classmate.

Reluctantly, Grey leaves Ansel and Tookie in charge of The Bad Alibi, and against his wishes, Tookie hosts a birthday party at the bar. Panic sets in when they discover a valuable is missing.

Dex tries to put the fire out in the hotel where she and Grey are enjoying a beer. She makes it worse by fanning the flames with a decorative pillow. Grey tells her to run.

Back at the bar, Dex meets with a prospective client who has had her movie manuscript stolen. The man who stalled the script is currently filming the story for the big screen. The woman wants Dex to go and steal a copy of the script to see if they are identical. She would have to go to L.A. Dex wants to think about it. Later, she tells Grey and he is ready to go. There’s a car there that he wants to buy.

Back at home, Dex looks over the letter she has yet to open from her family. She and Grey hit the road to go to L.A.

Took a piece of a visit to Hoffman. He wants to cater to an event for Hoffman who tells him he has to think about it.

After arriving in LA, decks go to meet the man responsible for stealing the manuscript, Jim Force. She pretends to be a screenwriter. After they talk about his classes for writers, she asks about his shooting script. He gets nervous. She heads back to Grey. He tells her he can get her on set. She owes him one. He wants to cash it in now. He asks her about the letter she has been hiding. She shares that it might be a way to find her parents.

On their way to the set, Dex shares that she has had the letter for 5 years. Grey is shocked. Meanwhile, Tookie locks in the event for Hoffman.

Dex works her way around the set and starts talking to one of the stars of the movie. After she insults him, she moves on. She manages to snag a copy of the script after spreading the word about buffalo wings.

Hoffman’s party is a bit rowdy, with people breaking a few things at Grey’s bar. Meanwhile, Grey realizes the car he is trying to buy is his father’s original car. Dex makes a deal she will look into the letter if he goes to meet his dad.

Dex heads back to the man who stole her client’s script. She tells him she knows he stole the script and she has a list of demands. He has 24 hours.

Grey shows up at his dad’s house. A young boy answers the door. Grey’s dad comes a few seconds later. Its been 20 years and it looks like his dad started from scratch. He talks to him for a bit, learning his mother is remarried too. They have all moved on. Grey looks through the photos in the living room but none of him is there. He sets the one photo of him and his dad down and leaves.

Grey and Dex are drinking a beer, talking in the hotel. Everything comes full circle when the living room lights on fire.

Grey heads to the movie set to play an extra and spread the word that he and his friend were bombed last night, lighting their hotel room on fire.

Tookie goes to see Hoffman. A musket is missing from Grey’s. Dex is at a nearby bar waiting for whoever through the Molotov cocktail through their window to show. Its the star actor she criticized by accident. He pulls a gun under the table. She talks to him like a person. He shares his feelings of rejection and that the gun is a prop. She takes it from him as the police arrive.

Tookie calls Grey. The gun isn’t missing, its in the safe. He knew he was going to throw a party. They are going to talk about when he gets home.

Dex seals a deal for her client. Before she can go home, she heads to see an aunt. She promised Grey. Dex’s aunt is thrilled to see her. After a few minutes, she realizes her aunt thinks she is her mom. She has dementia. Dex asks when the last time they spoke and her aunt can’t remember just that she said she had to leave and couldn’t tell her where she was going.
