The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that one CBS soap star is facing a tough loss. B&B fans know Alley Mills as Pam Douglas – and many of us know her from her role as Norma Arnold on The Wonder Years as well. Sadly, Mills’ husband, Orson Bean, was killed after being hit by a car according to TMZ.
Orson Bean died while crossing the street after being clipped by one vehicle and struck by another. Since Bean was allegedly jaywalking, the LAPD determined that no crime seems to have been committed by the drivers involved. They don’t intend to press charges, but there may be a review of the case by the City Attorney if the cops decide to turn it over.
Orson Bean, dead at the age of 91, was a longtime actor and comedian with a career dating back to the 1950s. In 2016, Bean was a special guest star on The Bold and the Beautiful. He played Howard in a couple episodes, so some B&B viewers may remember his brief stint. Bean also portrayed Harrison Logan on One Life to Live back in 1982.
Of course, Bean was in plenty of other protects over the years, including Miracle on 34th Street, Will & Grace, Desperate Housewives, Modern Family, Superstore and more. His final project listed on IMDb is a film called Froth and Bubble, which is currently in post-production.
On Twitter, The Bold and the Beautiful fans have been acknowledging Bean’s work and expressing their condolences to Mills. “Oh No! Alley Mills (Pam) husband…How very sad and tragic,” one B&B viewer said. “Great actor! Loved him as Mr Bray on Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. RIP. Prayers to Alley Mills,” said one more fan.
This is certainly heartbreaking to hear, but Bean’s work touched many people and will live on. Let’s hope Mills, who married Bean back in 1993, feels the love and support from all the fans out there. We love Pam and her portrayer, so we’re all thinking of Mills during this difficult time!
