The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Beloved Character Death Delayed - Still Happens When New B&B Episodes Return?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell has promised a looming loss. In a December 2019 interview with Soap Opera Digest, Bell gave a preview of the action for 2020. In this preview, Bell insisted that a “beloved character” would die, although he wouldn’t confirm which one.

Of course, we should think about how this extended shutdown at the studio might’ve affected what’s next. Have B&B’s plans for a fatal exit changed? There’s no way to know for sure until Bell gives another interview and clarifies his latest writing direction.

However, it’s safe to say that there are at least going to be some delays on this death if it happens at all.

Things can change behind the scenes, so it’s possible the idea was ditched – especially if Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was the one who was supposed to die.

That storyline clearly changed along the way, so there’s a chance Bell planned to kill Sally off and had a change of heart. The Bold and the Beautiful might’ve decided Sally should just be faking her terminal diagnosis instead.

Even if Sally wasn’t the character Bell had deadly plans for, people aren’t exactly in the mood for doom and gloom right now. Bell may not be keen on killing anyone off when new episodes return. B&B fans will still want some good material, but it might be best to hold off on anything deadly for a while.

Besides, The Bold and the Beautiful still has other storylines that need wrapping up. There’s a lot going on between all the Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) drama and the situation Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) set in motion along with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).

There are secrets to be uncovered in Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) case. Flo also has to be saved from whatever Sally and Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) have planned for her.

When it comes to Brooke and Bill, they’ll be busy trying to work on their messy love lives. Brooke has to win Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) trust back and Bill has to do the same with Katie Logan (Heather Tom) if that’s possible.

If Bell sticks to his plan for a beloved character’s demise, this shutdown still pushed back his story plans and will make that demise happen later. A beloved character sounds important enough to have a funeral with lots of close embraces.

That kind of thing will have to wait due to issues like social distancing and other safety protocols involving the number of people on set.

Bottom line, B&B could still kill off a character when new episodes return, but it may not be until 2021 or whenever it’s finally appropriate. As other news comes in, we’ll deliver updates.
