The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) really has an uphill battle where Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is concerned.
As B&B viewers know, Liam is not a fan of Finn, as he just can’t get past the fact that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) got addicted to opioid painkillers on Finn’s watch.
The good news here is that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) seems to have gotten Liam to calm down a bit and let go of trying to police Steffy’s love life.
But that doesn’t mean that Liam’s suddenly going to become “team Finn” all the way. Liam promised Hope that he’d refocus his efforts on living his life and putting his family with Hope first, but he’s still going to be looking out for Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) heavily.
Liam will probably be über aware that Finn is going to have a sustained presence in Kelly’s life going forward, and according to B&B spoilers, he’ll keep a watchful eye on the situation.
Well, Finn and Liam will probably never be best buds no matter what happens, but we could see a situation in which Finn redeems himself in Liam’s eyes.
Liam’s main objection to Finn all along is that Finn was in a position to see Steffy’s growing dependence on the painkillers, but Liam thinks that Finn missed it because he was focused on his personal feelings toward Steffy.
Maybe what Liam needs to see is Finn do something powerful that will redeem himself in Liam’s eyes.
If Finn were to do something heroic, perhaps where Kelly is concerned, then that would probably go a long way toward Liam learning to accept Finn as good, decent person. What if something were to happen to Kelly – for example, if Kelly had a medical emergency of some sort and Finn stepped in and saved the day?
It’s a terrible thought, but Kelly could suffer an accident and need immediate medical assistance, which Finn could provide.
Or perhaps Kelly will come down with some sort of childhood illness, and Finn will notice the signs and end up catching the illness in its early (and treatable) stages. Kelly could come down with some mystery illness, and Finn could be the one to diagnose her and save the day.
TPTB could go in multiple directions with such a story, but any of these possibilities would give Finn a chance to be the hero and require Liam’s gratitude. It would certainly be a great way for Finn to get in good with the Forresters and the Spencers, that’s for sure.
We’ll see what happens, but something tells us that there could be some sort of watershed moment for Liam and Finn coming up.
