The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Friday, August 14, reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) cried out in pain as she reached for Kelly Spencer’s (Colette and Avalon Gray) stuffed animal at the cliff house.
Steffy eyed her last pain pill but didn’t take it. A bit later, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) came by, saying that he and Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) had been at Bikini Bar and that he wanted to stop by and check in on his sister.
Thomas wondered how Steffy was feeling, and she said she was “not awesome but not terrible,” but when Thomas pressed her, she admitted that she was more on the “terrible” side.
Thomas asked if Steffy was in contact with her doctors, and she said that she had an appointment this week, plus the ER doctor had been checking in on her.
Thomas wondered if Steffy had been taking her meds, and Steffy said that she was down to her last pain pill and that the doctor said she needed to step down to over-the-counter pain meds.
Steffy went on to say that she was glad the pain meds were over, since she wanted to be fully available for her daughter. Thomas made Steffy promise to call him if she needed anything.
After Thomas left, Steffy struggled to get off the couch, and she went over to the table where her pill bottle was sitting. Steffy begrudgingly took her final pain pill.
Meanwhile, over at Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place, Brooke sat crying in the dark when Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) arrived. Donna said that she was so sorry, and that Eric Forrester (John McCook) had told her what happened.
Brooke lamented that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was now married to Shauna Fulton Forrester (Denise Richards). Donna and Brooke rehashed what happened, with Ridge filing the divorce papers and Shauna plying Ridge with alcohol and dragging him to a chapel.
Donna suggested that Ridge annul the marriage, but Brooke didn’t know whether Shauna would go for it.
Brooke lamented about how it was going to be hard to go back to her life with Ridge when Ridge committed his life to someone else. “He just threw aside our marriage,” Brooke said, horrified. “She’s been trying to come between us for months now, and she finally succeeded. Shauna won,” Brooke said through tears.
Over at the Forrester mansion, Shauna and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) talked about Shauna’s guilt over how her marriage to Ridge came to be. Quinn said that no one would find out as long as they kept the secret.
Ridge walked in the front door saying that he had just been at Brooke’s place and that he had to tell her that he’s married to someone else. Shauna said that she was sorry that Ridge had to go through this.
Quinn gleefully offered to give Ridge and Shauna some privacy, and Ridge said that wasn’t necessary as he was going to go get some sleep. Ridge went upstairs, and Quinn urged Shauna to go after him and comfort her new husband.
Shauna went upstairs and walked right into Ridge’s room. Shauna said that she knew it had been a rough night for him, but that she was there if he needed her.
Ridge gently said that he knew it couldn’t be easy for Shauna to know that he didn’t remember their wedding. Shauna said it was ok, and that she understood that it was a confusing time.
Shauna then gushed about them being married, but she said that she could wait to start their life together until he was ready. Ridge said that he was lucky to have Shauna in his life, but that he just wasn’t ready.
Shauna walked over and kissed Ridge, saying “Goodnight, my husband.” After Shauna left, Ridge looked out the window sadly. And over at Brooke’s place, Brooke looked out her window as she flashed back to some of the good times she shared with Ridge.
