The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will ultimately regret his decision to give Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) a refill. That refill will lead to Steffy becoming more and more reliant on those pain pills. An opioid addiction is in Steffy’s future – and it’ll have consequences for more than just her.
Once Steffy’s addiction becomes clear, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) may try to get custody of Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray). As you can imagine, that wouldn’t go over well with Steffy. This could lead to a nasty war that pulls plenty of characters into a tense mess.
Things could easily get out of hand – perhaps leading Liam to wonder if this is really the right call. Steffy might promise to get help and beg Liam to drop this. She could assure Liam she intends to get her pill popping under control with Finn’s help.
Liam might decide there’s no need to do something as extreme as taking Steffy’s child away.
Hope, on the other hand, might feel like Kelly’s safety has to come first. She may not feel like Steffy’s truly admitting she has a problem. Hope could stand by the custody pursuit and leave Liam caught in the middle. Liam could take Steffy’s side eventually and remind Hope that she’s not Kelly’s mother.
Would this growing conflict be enough to destroy Hope and Liam’s marriage? It could definitely put a strain on it, especially if Hope feels like Liam’s inching in Steffy’s direction again.
Of course, it’d be all too easy for Liam to plant a kiss during a vulnerable “Steam” moment and make matters worse. Let’s be honest: “Lope” is always going to be on shaky ground when it comes to Steffy. B&B fans know Hope can never really trust that Liam’s done with Steffy for good.
If Liam and Hope disagree on this Steffy and Kelly situation, it could lead to major arguments on The Bold and the Beautiful. That alone could bring marriage trouble, but divorce might be inevitable if Liam makes any kind of move on Steffy. Hope may not be willing to put up with another round of Liam’s indecisiveness.
