The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, November 30, reveal that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) that he came to the apartment to check on him.
Thomas didn’t appreciate this, and he grumped that he wasn’t one of Finn’s patients. Thomas clutched his head, and Finn asked if Thomas had a headache.
Thomas said that he did, and that the interrogation from Finn wasn’t helping. Finn said that he had seen Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) earlier, and that it must have been nice seeing Hope and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). Thomas deduced that Finn probably thought that he was still obsessed with Hope.
“I see a guy who still loves Hope,” Finn said. Thomas said that he did still love Hope, but that he was over her, and that he knew what was real and what wasn’t real. “I’m not obsessing over Hope anymore – I’m not that guy,” Thomas said.
Meanwhile, over at the cliff house, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) that he must be mistaken about what he saw at Thomas’ apartment.
Steffy and Liam went back and forth about whether Liam really saw what he saw, and then an exasperated Liam said that he needed a drink. “Pour me one while you’re at it,” Steffy said.
Liam poured a tequila and Steffy went to cut a lime. Liam ranted some more about what he saw over at Thomas’ place, and he rehashed the whole scene for Steffy. “How could she make out with Thomas behind my back?” Liam lamented. “Maybe you should talk to Hope before you get yourself all riled up,” Steffy urged.
But Liam kept drinking as he griped about how maybe this wasn’t the only time that Hope was with Thomas. Liam said that he could forgive a lot and that he wasn’t perfect, but that he never questioned Hope’s commitment to their marriage, and he thought they were happy.
“I gave up so much to be with Hope,” Liam said, getting more inebriated. “Yeah, you did,” Steffy said.
Over at the cabin, Hope was sitting alone when Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) knocked on the door with some contracts for Liam to sign.
Hope noted that Liam wasn’t there, and she shared that Liam spent the day with Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) and Steffy while she had dinner with Thomas and Douglas. That surprised Wyatt.
Hope and Wyatt talked for a bit, and Wyatt pointed out that Liam doesn’t trust Thomas. Hope thought that perhaps Liam was upset about her being with Thomas, and she went on about how Thomas was working hard to prove himself.
Wyatt wondered if it was really worth it working with Thomas on Hope For The Future. Hope said that she was being careful, and that Thomas would never come between herself and Liam.
Later, after Wyatt left, Hope texted Liam asking when he thought he’d be home. Liam responded that something came up and he was going to crash at the office. Hope thought that was a little strange, and just then her phone rang, and it was Thomas calling to make sure that she and Douglas made it home ok.
Thomas told Hope that he was sorry if what he said earlier freaked her out, and that he meant to say that he cared about her as Douglas’ mother. Hope was understanding, but she said that Thomas couldn’t say things like that again and that he needed to be respectful of Liam and her marriage.
Back at the cliff house, Liam and Steffy were now visibly inebriated. Steffy said that Liam has given up a lot – like tucking in his little girl at night. “And now you’ve moved on, too,” Liam said. “You and Finn seem pretty close.” Steffy said that things were getting pretty serious, and that Finn spends the night at her place a couple times a week.
“It’s not easy seeing you move on,” Liam drawled, taking another swig of tequila. “We really had something, didn’t we?” Liam mused. Steffy nodded. Liam said that he knew the day would come when Steffy would find someone, and that this day made him question every decision he’s ever made. “You’ve been drinking, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Steffy slurred.
Liam said that half of him was clear, and half of him was confused as he gazed at the portrait on the wall. “I look at that picture every night,” Steffy said, before urging Liam to sleep at the office and talk to Hope tomorrow. “I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation for what happened at Thomas’ apartment,” Steffy said.
Liam said that maybe it happened for a reason. Steffy wondered what Liam meant. Liam continued, saying that he had no right to say this…but he wondered how serious Steffy and Finn were. Steffy looked shocked as Liam said, “You know I’ve never NOT loved you, right?” Liam said that he didn’t want Steffy to take the portrait down.
“It’s a symbol of what was, and maybe it’s a symbol of what could still be,” Liam said. Steffy just stared, as Liam moved in for a kiss. Liam and Steffy kissed, as the camera panned up to the portrait on the wall.
