The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, October 5, reveal that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) talked in the Forrester CEO office. Katie said that she was at Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) place earlier and that she heard Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) and Shaun Fulton Forrester (Denise Richards) discussing how they manipulated Ridge in Las Vegas.
Katie said that Shauna had a guilty conscience about the whole thing, and that Shauna had been the one who texted Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that night – not Ridge.
Ridge balked, wondering how Shauna could have done that, since she’d been nothing but honest with him. Katie said that Quinn was involved in this, too, and that the whole thing was likely Quinn’s idea.
The more details Katie gave about the conversation that she overheard between Quinn and Shauna, the more Ridge seemed to start believing it. Katie insisted that Ridge still loved Brooke, and that Brooke would have been Ridge’s wife this entire time if not for Shauna and Quinn. Ridge looked stoic and peeved.
Meanwhile, in the Forrester design office, Carter seemed melancholy to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes).
Carter lamented about how he didn’t think that this wedding was what Ridge really wanted, and Zoe tried to cheer him up, saying that the Forresters trusted Carter with their weddings and even made him COO of Forrester Creations. Zoe said that they’d celebrate later, and that brought a smile to Carter’s face.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Fulton (Denise Richards) happily got ready for the wedding. “Today, my mom becomes a true Forrester,” Flo gushed. “She deserves all the good things.”
Wyatt thought that he was the lucky one to have Flo, and Flo teared up, saying that she was happy to know that Shauna was going to get the life and happiness that she deserved.
Over at Brooke’ place, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) urged Brooke not to rush over to the Forrester mansion. Donna openly wondered whether there was the possibility that Ridge was marrying Shauna because he wanted to.
Brooke thought that was ridiculous. “There’s no way I’m going to let Quinn gift Shauna the love of my life!” Brooke fumed.
Donna worried that perhaps going over to the mansion would make things even more painful for Brooke than it already was, but Brooke insisted that Ridge was vulnerable that night in Vegas, and that it was too convenient that he was too drunk to not remember getting married.
Donna finally concluded that Brooke was right. “I’m not going to let those two wannabes from the desert steal my husband away!” Brooke declared.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn convened in the living room as Eric announced that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was outside on the terrace. Zoe and Carter arrived, and Carter was still feeling iffy about the wedding.
Quinn asked if Carter was ready for another Forrester wedding, and Carter blustered about how Ridge still loves Brooke. Quinn didn’t want to hear it, and she proceeded to gripe about Brooke’s inability to be faithful.
Carter and Zoe headed out to the terrace, and Flo and Wyatt arrived. Flo wondered where her mom was, and Quinn said that Shauna was still over at a friend’s house getting ready for the ceremony.
“Nothing will ruin this day,” Quinn proudly proclaimed. Flo and Wyatt headed out to the terrace, leaving Quinn in the living room alone.
As Quinn was happily gazing at her portrait, Brooke barged in the front door. Brooke said that she was there to end the madness, and that she was not going to let “that ridiculous wedding” happen. Quinn and Brooke stared each other down.
