The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that we’ll see a surprising turnaround during the week of October 12-16. B&B fans know Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) doesn’t usually side with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) on much of anything at all. There’s bad blood between them and that usually leaves them at odds.
When Liam first objected to Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) interest in Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Thomas unleashed a tirade and ordered Liam to leave her alone. Thomas definitely has a protective side when it comes to his sister, so his mantra for Liam became “back off.”
Nevertheless, Thomas will change his tune in the week ahead and will find himself in unfamiliar territory. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas and Liam will actually agree for once!
Thomas will back Liam up when some problems arise, so what’s going on here? Why will Thomas change his stance?
We know that Liam will become controlling again, which Thomas previously hated. Thomas felt like Liam should stay out of Steffy’s love life, but Liam will plop himself right back in it soon.
Finn will take Steffy home from rehab for a surprise reunion with Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray), which Liam will have a problem with.
Of course, it sounds more like Liam will have a problem with who orchestrates it! Would Liam be objecting to Steffy and Kelly’s time together if Finn weren’t behind it? Probably not.
Regardless, it doesn’t make much sense for Thomas to suddenly be OK with Liam interfering – nor does it make sense for Thomas to side with Liam on keeping Kelly from Steffy.
It’s possible Thomas will feel like Finn should’ve seen the warning signs of Steffy’s addiction and ditch his support of this pairing. However, there may be a more complex explanation.
The week ahead will also bring major pressure for Thomas, who’ll feel stressed as he competes against Zende Forrester-Dominguez (Delon de Metz).
Could that pressure bring out Thomas’ scheming side again? Thomas has been bonding with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) lately and doesn’t seem to be over her deep down.
If Thomas convinces Liam that he’s right to worry about Finn, Liam’s going to butt in Steffy’s love life more and more.
Naturally, that’s going to rile Hope up and could pave the way for Thomas to be with her. It’s just strange that Thomas is going to have such an abrupt change of heart regarding Liam. Why would Thomas suddenly become Liam’s ally? Is this schemer up to his old Hope tricks?
It’d be easy to buy the idea that Thomas has some sort of mind game planned – one that might lead to a “Thope” reunion if he plays it innocently enough.
Thomas might determine that if he urges Liam to meddle, Liam will destroy his relationship with Hope and leave her craving Thomas’ comfort.
Whatever the case, some big developments are looming for Thomas in the months ahead. As other B&B news emerges, we’ll provide updates.
