The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that the show’s storylines are being adjusted in various ways to adapt to the necessary safety protocols that have been implemented. Physical distancing, the lack of paper scripts, creative camera shots, potential use of dolls and real life significant others in romantic scenes are some of the issues that are being dealt with now that the cast and crew has returned to work at B&B’s studios.
Two, or more character’s proximity to each other is a real issue when no masks can be worn during filming. If an actor forgets a line, hidden scripts won’t be strategically placed within the scene as was possible in the past.
And if characters demonstrate affection they’ll have to do so in nontraditional shots that don’t reveal who’s actually being kissed.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Where Is Flo Fulton Now?
How can Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) be anywhere near the two ladies who were rushing her out of Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) living room when viewers last saw the trio?
As B&B fans recall, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Dr. Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz) were trying to carry Bowden’s unconscious character out of Wyatt’s house before he entered the front door.
The next scene could have Flo left on the floor, with Sally, Penny, or both having exited. Another option would have Flo isolated in a secure location because she was kidnapped. Either instance would allow for physical distancing issues to be incorporated into the scene.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Dramatic Dialogue Requires Sharp Memories And No Slapping
There are some actors who have the ability to memorize pages of dialogue and generally deliver them intact during a scene. But these great actors are human, with mistakes being made, or some lines simply being forgotten as a scene progresses.
Assume Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) finds Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) in her house. Richards character would be standing by the doorway when Brooke descends the stairs, as physical distancing issues would have been incorporated.
Shauna’s presence would indicate that something dramatic actually happened in Las Vegas, Nevada, meaning a wedding chapel event with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) took place. Brooke would be stunned and outraged. But she wouldn’t be able to engage in face-slapping, or a close range verbal argument.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Liam and Hope Enjoy Return Of The Good Life
Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) are sitting across the room from each other, which doesn’t indicate closeness. After approximately a year, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is out of Lope’s life and they are enjoying a nice, peaceful night at home with the children having been put to bed.
The camera angle shifts as both actors walk toward each other. Then a different shot is seen with Liam appearing to embrace Hope. Noelle wouldn’t be aside of Clifton in the subsequent shot. She’d be off to the side, or even in her dressing room with a mask on.
The cameras would stop rolling, a doll, or Clifton’s wife, would have replaced Noelle, but viewers couldn’t see that. Then, the real life spouses would embrace. Yes, creative decisions like this and others that were referenced will need to be used until normal procedures are hopefully in place again some day.
