The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that some fans have concerns about Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). On the surface, Finn seems like a wonderful man – a caring doctor who loves Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and wants to dote on her.
It’s been refreshing to see Steffy have a guy in her life who wants only her, unlike Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) who’s done so much waffling.
However, no one really knows that much about Finn yet and he’s already exchanging love declarations with Steffy. Liam also doesn’t trust Finn, though Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) tried to help him see that was more about his refusal to let Steffy go.
Now that Liam has decided to back off, will his concerns about Finn fade or become a persistent problem?
When Finn brought Steffy home from rehab and arranged a reunion with Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray), Liam had a heated showdown with Finn. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers referred to it as the start of a major rivalry, so it doesn’t make sense if everything’s fine now.
Why start a rivalry only to end it just as quickly?
We’re just not buying the idea that Liam will truly be able to back off – and that’s where many fans’ concerns come in, too. If Liam can’t shake his doubts about Finn and Steffy’s relationship, B&B will likely offer up a better reason for those doubts.
There may be more to the story than just Liam’s jealousy and inability to move on.
The Bold and the Beautiful has also offered up moments like when Finn smirked at Liam and Steffy’s portrait. The music that played was somewhat creepy and so was Finn’s vibe.
Of course, you could argue that was just B&B’s way of showing Finn was top dog in Steffy’s life now. Even so, the show doesn’t have the greatest track record when it comes to newer fan favorites.
It seems like viewers are really enjoying Steffy and Finn’s love story, even if it’s moving way too fast. Finn and Steffy have become one of the best parts of the show for many B&B watchers. Will Finn’s popular pairing save him from destruction or will The Bold and the Beautiful find a way to ruin him?
Look at what happened with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Sally was a fan fave that tons of people wanted to see happy and thriving. Instead, B&B nearly killed Sally off before shifting gears and making her fake a terminal illness.
It seemed like the writers wanted Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) to be the one who came out of that story as a blissful winner. Sally is thankfully getting another chance on The Young and the Restless, but there’s no denying they trashed her character on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Will Finn get the Sally Spectra treatment and be thrown under the bus for the sake of a B&B golden character like Liam? If that’s the plan, there’s still time for the show to turn things around.
There’s even a chance Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s real-life pregnancy will be a game-changer if it’s written in for Steffy. It could make B&B more likely to leave Finn as a good guy and let him build a family with Steffy.
