The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will soon have a seriously surreal day. As Y&R viewers know, Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) have been thoroughly enjoying their romance, and they’ve recently decided that they want to embark on having a family together.
Well, since Chance is a pretty traditional guy, he’s going to want to make things official, and on the episode airing on Monday, November 9, he’ll pop the question to Abby.
It will be a sweet proposal, but unfortunately Abby and Chance’s bliss will soon take a horrible turn. Chance has been worried about what’s going on with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for a while now, and shortly after he proposes to Abby, Chance will trail Adam to a remote location.
As it turns out, Chance will follow Adam to the place where Adam was holding Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Chance will want answers, and he and Adam will argue.
But suddenly, Chance will notice a shooter from up above, and he’ll end up flinging himself in front of the bullet as he saves Adam from harm’s way.
And given the angle that Chance ends up in when he’s shot, we’d say there’s a good chance that he could be shot around the hip/pelvis area, and that could mean some really serious injuries for him.
In fact, since Chance and Abby have been gushing for days on end about starting a family and living a happy life together, we suspect that Chance’s injuries could be quite severe.
What if the bullet lodges in Chance’s spine or his hip somehow? Chance could wind up unable to walk for or get around for a while, or worse – he could end up paralyzed from the waist down.
Of course, if that were to happen, then Chance would have a lot of dreams cut short. For one, he’d be unable to be a detective on the police force. And if he is paralyzed, then his dreams of being a father could be kaput as well.
It might certainly make Chase rethink his engagement to Abby, especially if he becomes bitter and discouraged about the whole thing.
We’ll see what happens here, but given how things were moving right along for Chance on the police force and with his relationship with Abby, we wouldn’t be surprised if there were some big setbacks for him.
Chance could be paralyzed temporarily and recover with some physical therapy, or he could be permanently disabled, which would be a terrible outcome.
At any rate, Y&R fans will find out soon enough what Chance’s fate is after the shooting. Do you think Chance will wind up paralyzed? Stay tuned to the CBS soap and keep CDL bookmarked so you don’t miss any of the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news. We’ve got you covered!
