The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) are enjoying their newfound romance. As Y&R viewers know, the two have been spending quite a bit of time together over the past couple of weeks.
This came after Abby essentially urged Chance to spend time with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) as well, thinking that there was no way that he’d pick Phyllis over her.
And as it turns out, Abby was right – Chance did decide to embark on a relationship with her and freeze Phyllis out. Of course, Phyllis did seem to be getting to Chance a bit, and it was clear that there was some chemistry between him and Phyllis.
But ultimately Phyllis decided that the whole competition with Abby was a bit silly after she learned of Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) breast cancer diagnosis, and she bowed out of the race.
But now Phyllis is sitting on crucial information about something very criminal that Chance and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are trying desperately to hide with a major coverup
They haven’t come right out and said it, but they’ve strongly implied that Adam killed a man in order to protect Chance, and they’re deeply afraid that the authorities won’t see it that way.
Now Adam is paying off the man’s wife to keep quiet, and they’ve led the wife to believe that the man is off in witness protection. It’s a real mess.
Well, as it turns out, Phyllis now knows about the situation, and since she’s Phyllis, she’ll use it to her advantage. According to Y&R spoilers, Phyllis will blackmail Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) with the information and she’ll wind up getting Chelsea’s stake in the Grand Phoenix out of the deal.
Abby will soon find out about that transaction and she’ll start suspecting Phyllis big time. Of course, Abby’s pretty tenacious, and so once she gets it in her head to get to the bottom of what Phyllis is holding over Chelsea, then she’s probably not going to stop until she finds out the truth.
And when she does find out the truth, thats Chance is neck deep in a murder coverup, she’ll realize that lover boy isn’t quite who she thinks he is. Abby will realize that he’s been in cahoots with Adam to keep a man’s death a secret, and she just might have a problem with that.
That could very well mean that we’ll see Abby and Chance having some difficulties soon…leaving Phyllis the opportunity to swoop in and start working on Chance again.
Of course, Chance will probably be peeved at first that Phyllis found out his secret with Adam and capitalized on it, but if he’s having problems with Abby, then it’s hard to imagine Phyllis not taking that as an invitation to make her move.
We’ll see what happens here, but we doubt that things are over and done with when it comes to Chance and Phyllis. They seem to have a strong pull toward each other, and we just might see them get together yet.
