The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) could still be in grave danger. Y&R fans know someone fired a shot with the intention of hitting Adam, but the bullet hit Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) by mistake.
We also know someone is framing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for the shooting, so this person apparently wants Billy to suffer as well.
However, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) can tell this whole thing seems too neat and tidy. Although Billy looks guilty, Rey’s dragging his feet on doing anything about it. He wants to make sure he locks up the right culprit, which obviously isn’t what the shooter and person responsible for the setup wants.
This person would much rather see Adam dead and Billy behind bars. Since Adam’s still alive and Billy’s still free, what will the mystery culprit do about that? Adam could be at risk of a repeat attempt on his life – and next time, Chance probably won’t be around to protect him!
Chance has made it clear that he’s focusing on his own life and family now. It was kind of a fluke that Chance was able to save Adam anyway, so Adam could easily take the hit next time.
Of course, things are a bit more complicated now that Adam’s locked away in a mental health facility. That means there are guards and staff members to get in the way, so the shooter has two options.
The first one is finding a way around security and moving in for the kill. It’s possible someone could be hired to pose as an orderly and poison Adam through the drugs he’s getting. Someone could even go as far as planting a bomb to blow the place up. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
If this person really wants Adam to die, he or she will surely get creative. The culprit could simply leave a sloppy trail that ties to Billy and make him look like he struck again. On the other hand, there’s a simpler alternative.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will recover and gain his freedom eventually, so patience could be key here.
The moment Adam steps outside, he could once again find himself a target. The shooter had a very elaborate plan, so he or she may not give up. Adam obviously isn’t going to get murdered, but he could still end up in a fight for his life.
Likewise, Billy could land in a jail cell if there’s another attempt to kill Adam and more bogus evidence!
