The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a shocker’s in store for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Y&R fans know Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) keeping secrets about what went down in Vegas. It seems kind of pointless considering Chelsea caused a hostage crisis that could’ve gotten their son killed at the Grand Phoenix. How much worse could Adam’s secret be?
Chelsea could’ve saved herself a lot of trouble if she’d just been honest with Adam about the money laundering and Simon Black’s (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) threats. Adam could’ve paid the guy off and wouldn’t have judged Chelsea. Instead, Chelsea’s secret landed her in grave danger along with Adam and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
There’s no reason why Adam can’t be honest with Chelsea, especially since they’ve established that he’s trying to be a better man. Who cares what Adam did when he was Spider out in Vegas? Nevertheless, Adam’s keeping things under wraps and that could be a recipe for disaster – just as Chelsea’s secret proved.
However, Chelsea may get a different shocker before that one hits. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will make a move that stuns Chelsea, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be a negative one. This is set to happen during the week of February 17-21, but keep in mind that preemptions have pushed episodes back along the way.
What that means is it’s possible this move will be made around Valentine’s Day in Genoa City. What do people do on soaps around Valentine’s Day? They often propose! Chelsea was hesitant to go all in with Adam, but they’re getting their life together back on track now. Although Chelsea initially wanted to take things slow, they actually seem to be moving pretty fast and strengthening their connection.
Of course, we also know what an intense guy Adam is. He loves boldly and just goes for it. Adam proposed to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) when they weren’t even dating! It’s reasonable to think that Adam would make a quick proposal to Chelsea now that they’re madly in love again. Adam is eager to lock in this beautiful future that he’s dreamed of and be a true family again with Connor.
Will Adam pop the question soon? Will Chelsea say yes? If so, this engagement could be the calm before the storm. Secrets have a way of getting out – especially when Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) finds out what they are! She’ll indeed uncover the Vegas secret and plot revenge, so Adam probably needs to prepare for some relationship drama.
