Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) briefly discussed Amanda pursuing her personal history in the past. She responded, but didn’t follow through on any efforts until recently.
The blood donation sequence served as the plot device that enabled Nate to tell Amanda that her blood type was the same as Hilary’s. A handful of episodes was all that was needed from that point until Devon agreed to provide samples of Hilary’s genetic material.
Nate conducted the test. The results were given to Amanda at Crimson Lights and she relayed them to the audience and Devon at his penthouse.

Elena went along with Devon’s plan to work with Amanda. But after Sarpy’s character did so she later told Nate that Devon shouldn’t be involved in that matter.
The scene where Elena confided in Nate could be a wink to what’s coming, as he isn’t making the type of relationship progress with Amanda that was hoped. If Amanda goes to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), as seems to be possible, if not probable, then Nate will remain a free agent.
And, as fans have seen, there is the potential of a spark between the doctors who volunteer at the New Hope Clinic.
Devon loves Elena completely and will likely seek to officially secure their bond soon. But she’s understandably insecure right now, with the effect of what’s been learned hammering her confidence.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Amanda Sinclair Can Ease Tension
First, Amanda will need to digest what she’s confirmed. This life-altering reveal will take time to accept, but is good news.
Once emotions have eased, Amanda will surely recognize that Elena feels uneasy. Viewers now see that the Grand Phoenix bonding session can be mined to further this potential friendship, with Amanda assuring Elena that she’s not interested in following Hilary’s trek to Devon’s heart.
Instead, both ladies could become sister-in-law’s if Elena married Devon.
