The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has a serious medical crisis in her future – apparently one that’s related to some brain issues. Y&R fans know Chelsea has been battling headaches and lost consciousness after her collapse at the coffeehouse.
Although it initially appeared this would connect to Chelsea’s fall and head injury at Chancellor Communications, perhaps that was a simple case of misdirection. Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will soon get updates on a health condition that’s quite serious.
Since this condition caused those headaches and the collapse we mentioned, it could be a tumor or something else that’s messing with Chelsea’s brain. It’s possible this kind of thing could lead to out-of-character behavior and memory gaps for Chelsea.
Could Chelsea be the one who shot Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) after all? Chelsea was also drugged while she was stuck in captivity, so that could’ve further affected her memory. There’s a chance Chelsea tried to shoot Adam and hit Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) without even realizing it.
As for the framing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) part, that may have been done by someone else. In fact, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will accuse Adam of taking advantage of the opportunity.
During the week of December 7-11, Rey will suspect Adam framed Billy himself and is complicating the investigation.
It’s possible Adam knows Chelsea was the one who tried to shoot him and is protecting her, but it’s also possible Adam just really liked the idea of taking Billy down.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will suspect it’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) who set Billy up, though we’d imagine Adam would be a far more likely culprit.
Then again, Victor might want to protect both Chelsea and Adam from the knowledge that Chelsea tried to shoot the father of her child. Victor believes the “Chadam” family belongs together, so he’d be invested in protecting them and keeping their shot at a future intact.
Regardless, this brain crisis that’s looming for Chelsea opens the door to her potentially being the shooter without even knowing she did it. Things make more sense if we consider the possibility that Chelsea’s brain function was impaired – and that someone else came along to frame Billy afterward.
