The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is going to face a very difficult turn of events. As Y&R viewers know, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) had a steamy tryst at the New Hope Clinic, and they’ve been doing their best to keep it a secret ever since. However, Elena is completely overcome with guilt, and the secret is weighing terribly on both her and Nate.
Well, according to Y&R spoilers, the secret is about to come out in a very big way, and very publicly. It will all go down at the ceremony honoring Devon for being businessperson of the year, when Devon and Elena end up in a suite at the Grand Phoenix and Elena spills the beans about her affair with Nate.
That will quickly put Nate on the receiving end of Devon’s fist, as Devon rushes to the lobby to attack the man he thought was his closest friend.
Chances are, from here, Devon will need some alone time to process everything that’s happened. Devon is going to be reeling and he’ll surely feel a mix of rage, disappointment, and sadness.
Devon will accuse Nate of preying on Elena when she was at her weakest and most vulnerable, since Elena was feeling very raw and insecure at the time about Devon’s relationship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and his residual feelings for Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Devon will extend some sort of invitation to Amanda right around the time that Elena and Nate’s affair comes to light.
Might Devon reach out to Amanda for help dealing with his emotional pain? It would make some degree of sense for him to do this, since he feels a connection with Amanda, and since the only other two people he’s really close to are the people who betrayed him so horribly.
One wonders if something might happen between Devon and Amanda as a result of Nate and Elena’s betrayal. One thing’s for sure – if Devon does reach out to Amanda for emotional support after learning about Nate and Elena’s affair, then it’s probably going to bring Devon and Amanda that much closer.
We have to remember that this whole situation will hurt Amanda, too, since she’s going to find out that Nate slept with Elena when he was still in a relationship with her.
Devon and Amanda can commiserate together, and Nate and Elena will have no choice but to sit back and watch them get closer. It should be a terrible situation for everyone involved, with plenty of angst, but it could just produce a new couple – Devon and Amanda.
We’ll see what happens here when the action picks up this week on the show, but it seems clear that Devon is going to need someone to turn to, and Amanda seems like just the right person.
