The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) discovery of Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) mother would be a compelling way to play this reveal. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), like everyone else in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and the audience that observes them, were collectively shocked when Morgan’s new character appeared at the penthouse last year.
The attorney who was unknowingly working for Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) had no idea that she was picked because of her doppelganger status. Hilary Hamilton (Morgan’s initial Y&R role from 2013-2018) had to be Amanda’s identical twin, or at least that’s what seemed apparent.
However, no subsequent pursuit of Amanda’s biological connections has followed, which seems strange considering her orphan status and obvious resemblance to Hilary.

TPTB at Y&R chose to build Morgan’s newest character. Rather then immediately have her discover, or be told whether she’s Hilary’s sister, or not, the writing staff has been slowly developing Amanda’s resume.
Bits and pieces of Amanda’s backstory have also been offered. An important and sadly, negative element, was her revived connection with Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes).
Amanda’s interest in Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and her fondness for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), along with the accord she’s reached with Elena and Devon, have allowed fans to get to know Morgan’s current alter ego before any genetic climax is dropped.

Rose Turner (Leslie Turner) was Hilary’s mother. No father figure was ever recognized. So, it would seem that the teased discovery Sarpy’s character could realize would begin with Rose, who, like her known daughter, is also deceased.
It would be a major stretch to ask the audience to accept Hilary as Amanda’s sister, but have Hilary be identified as having a different father, or being a cousin.
Amanda’s disinterest in whoever her parents were hasn’t been pushed. But the logical nature of her profession would imply that internal curiosity would eventually compel pursuit of an answer.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Elena Dawson’s Expertise Opens A Door
Elena’s status as a doctor provides an easy path for the writing staff to mine. Amanda could suffer some malady, or have an illness that Elena helps to treat.
Accessing orphanage records could allow Elena to gain information that allows her to dig further into Amanda’s past. While Sarpy’s character doesn’t currently view Amanda as a rival for Devon’s heart, Elena has noticed a modest spark between them in the past.
So, Elena’s specific skill set and her natural interest in what appears to be a biological connection could be written as the way that Amanda and Hilary are finally revealed as twin sisters.
