The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Eric Braeden Willing To Return To Work & Film New Y&R Episodes – Safety Precautions A Must

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) is ready to return to work on the set of Y&R. But he understandably wants needed safety precautions to be in place for everyone connected to this iconic soap opera before that happens.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest Braeden said, “I think I will be willing to go back to work if some provisions are met, serious provisions are met. You have the crew with masks on, you have people in the booth with masks on but somebody always wiping things down, you have continuous tests.”

The actor, who’s portrayed one of daytime’s all-time great characters since 1980 also noted that the actors would need to adhere to distancing and that a legal release would likely need to be signed that would protect the studios if anyone connected to the show caught the virus while working.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Classic Episodes Reinforce Winning Formula

Viewers have had a chance to see many classic episodes from various eras since the last new episode aired in late April. Braeden has also been watching. Seeing the old shows reinforced in his mind the positive influence of Y&R’s creator, producer and writer, the late Bill Bell.

Speaking of the show’s founding father Braeden said, “Bill Bell allowed no one to come in and interfere with what he did. No one. He was the man, and the results were wonderful. He was the driving force behind this.”

“The driving conflict at Y&R is the Newman’s versus the Abbott’s, so don’t forget about it. It doesn’t happen very often that you have a confluence of the appropriate writer, the appropriate actors. Don’t forget about that! Don’t ignore it. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel.”

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Praise For Hospital Workers

Braeden made a point to offer significant praise to all of the people who have been working to combat the pandemic, saying, “They are heroes, the doctors and nurses and janitors working in our hospitals. It is extraordinary, what these people do, knowing full well they could catch this bloody thing at any time.”

His thoughts are surely well-taken by various Y&R fans, who may have been impacted by the virus themselves, or have had family members, or friends affected.

Braeden’s comments regarding health care workers also serve to reinforce the progress that’s been made to-date, which is allowing for the possibility of a return to work scenario in the near future.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Meanwhile Back In Genoa City

When viewers next see Victor he will be dealing with his ornery son, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). As viewers recall, this father and son combo were at odds again.

Grossman’s character was fully at fault in this instance, as he refuses to believe that Victor has protected him since Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) father was killed in Kansas many years ago. Victor didn’t want Adam to learn that he killed A.J. Montalvo (no actor’s name known for this role) as a child in defense of Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman).

Adam has blocked this memory from his mind and is convinced that Victor is trying to cover for the crime he committed himself. This, along with many other cliffhanger storylines, are awaiting their revival as soon as production can safely resume in Los Angeles, California.
